Pours a clear pale straw topped by a quickly fading off white head leaving no lacing. The nose is somewhat grainy and herbal. On the tongue, the herbal hops are too much at the forefront. Crisp and acidic, it gives off skunky notes. Not a fan, but a good option. Cheers!

Tåkete gul farge med masse hvitt skum. Lukter av banan, hvete og sitrus. Smaker akkurat passe av banan. Karboneringen ok. Noe av det bedre alkoholfrie øl du kan få tak i.

500ml bottle. Hazy amber-ish body with a huge white head. Bananas, wheat and metallic notes. Way too light palate.

Oh colour me disappointed! I love Weihenstapher, and after all the positive comments regarding the Alkoholfrei (both here and elsewhere) I decided to buy some for a party as a few guests were driving and therefore not partaking in alcohol. Poured well, nice aroma - very similar to the full version. But the taste - oh so disappointing. Slight taste of beer and the rest was soda water. I knew it would lack some flavour - but this!!!? hardly worth calling a beer. Tip down the drain stuff. Yuck.

Color is pale with white head. Aroma of banana. Taste is clear weissebier, but watery. Still a ok beer even though it’s alcoholfree.

Bottle - pours hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is banana, spice and a bit yeasty. Taste is slightly astringent up front then spice and dry. Medium palate. Hard to believe it’s alkoholfrei.

(Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Alkoholfrei) Bottle 500 ml from the local supermarket, served into a glass tankard. Sunny orange colour on the body, very hazy. Two full fingers of thick, white head on top, with great retention. Aroma has light wheat, malts, but also nice touches of clove and some yeast. Taste is pretty good, some citrusy notees, wheat, clove, not som much bubblegum but still there is some. Medium body with a bit high carbonation. Pretty good for an alcohol free one, it sure beats the alcohol free pale lagers and the radlers too.

Hazy golden, full head. Spicy and grassy aroma. Light citrus and banana taste. Short aftertaste.

Bottle (500 ml) bought @ Épicerie Lauzière. Split 2-ways with the lady.

Appearance: Hazy pale golden with a medium white head, good retention and some lacing.

Aroma: Bananas, cloves, bread and grassy notes... I would definitely not know this is alcohol free in a blind tasting.

Taste: Bread, cloves, bananas, grass and light wheat acidity. Again, this is on par if not better than most of the Weissbier available.

Palate: Light to medium body. This is maybe the only place where the absence of alcohol is felt. Medium carbonation. Cloves and bread finish.

Overall: Surprisingly good for an Alkoholfrei! In fact, it’s better than most of the Weissbier available in bottles here. Easy drinking and quenching. I’m not sure how fresh was this one, but I think it might have been a bit old and still it was pretty good. Tasty stuff! It’s silly that the weighted average for this one is currently at a 2.54 while The Bruery Chocolate Rain is at 4.01. Which one of the two is easier to drink is obvious and I wouldn’t be so sure that the one standing at 19.5% abv is more complex than the one at 0.5 %.
