500 ml. bottle sampled @ home. Lightly hazy, touch paler citrus golden, collapsing soapy creamy white head. Nose is soapy banana, estery, weird fizzy soapy DE yeast, weird wet paper. Taste is fizzy weird plaster mineral, wet paper, light, mineral, sweetish artificial, tad watery, fizzy. It is clearly non-alcoholic, clearly a paper-like, fizzy etc. version. It isn’t too bad for a non-alcoholic hefeweizen. It isn’t too bad at all, bit enjoyable, I can see this one going over pretty well if you are wanting a non-alcoholic hefeweizen. It is thin, faintly artificial / soapy-like but only mildly so, carries a clear connection to the real deal even if it is clearly different. Very good for what it is.

My first non-alcoholic Hefeweizen but since it comes from Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery and one with a vast amount of knowledge about this style and brewing technology in general, I decided to give it a try. Thick, frothy, creamy, dense, egg-white head over a hazy golden beer with peachy hue and vivid sparkling: looks quite convincingly like a normal Weissbier. Aroma of ripe banana, cloves, lots of notably soapy wheat, sugared apple, white bread, cake dough, chamomille and a whiff of grass - in all, equally convincing as a Weissbier. Sweetish onset, some banana but less strong than expected based on the aroma, pear and peach accents, notably minerally as well with medium carbo, underlying wheat sourishness throughout, bit soapy, lean and thinnish - if not slightly watery - mouthfeel as can be expected of a non-alcoholic beer, somewhat metallic in the middle, bitterish finish with some floral hops but mostly the sourish wheat continuing, even turning a bit lemony in the very end, with that metallic ’zing’ echoing in the background as well, and a (luckily faint) kind of chemical wryness. Well... this does look and smell like a Hefeweizen, but it is clearly thinner and more metallic in the mouth; the wheat sourishness does its refreshing job well, but there is something vaguely wry in the finish too. Understandably a non-alcoholic version of any beer type will never be as good as its alcoholic standard, but that being said, this is among the best non-alcoholic beers I had so far, and in that sense recommendable if you need a beer but still have to drive a car, for instance. Suits its purpose well.

Todo un cervezón para los amantes de la birra que no les es posible beberla con alcohol o que no les gusta... parece una weizen con alcohol de toda la vida. Increíble.

50 cl bottle from Meny supermarket. Hazy, golden colour with a big, white head. Sweet aroma with grasses, wheat malts, citrus and mineralic notes. Taste is lightly bitter. Light body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with citrus, hay and grains. Very nice Low Alcohol. Well recommended.

Look; tarty pearl white cream on golden clear body. Aroma; wheat malts, caramel, banana, orange grass. Taste; slightly dilluted wheat malts, banana, caramel, orange notes - malty finish with mineralic notes. High carbonation. Not bad,but not top notch either. [50cl btl, 0.5%abv, BB.13.04.16]

Emmeloord. Granig en bananig maar mist de bite van een echte, desondanks een prima alcoholarm bier. Backlog from 2015/09/05.

From 50 cl bottle. Golden/yellow color, cloudy after pouring in the yeast. Big dense white head with good retention. Aroma’s: grainish, wheat-fruity, additionally some banana and clove retronasal (not much). Flavor is grainish, yeast, light bitter. Light bodied. Not much of a finish. OK if you have to.
