COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Hazy mid brown poor with a superb white head that laces the glass nicely. Dominant dough like yeasty tones and wheat. Slight presence of cloves. Nice enough beer but dont think this style is a favourite of mine.

Amber brown color, nice hefe head. Slight banana and clove aroma. More clove than banana in taste but everything balanced by the slight sweet malt. This dunkel is the bomb, very good and easy as hell to drink.

500ml bottle poured into Weihenstephaner glass. Muddy mid-brown colour with murky body. Good creamy off-white head that lasts until the beer is finished. Also lacing good until the end. Sweet on palate with touch of honey. Slightly sweet finish which stays in the mouth.

Draught at Ta’am Ha’Ir food fair in Tel Aviv. Cloudy dark amber with a steady, creamy white head. Mud, banana and some clove aroma, mildly sweet but very refreshing, medium body, soft-to-medium carbonation, sweetish finish - awesome.

A nicely balanced beer. Not too aggressive in the flavours, but a easy drinking dunkel.

Half pint in brauhaus, Edinburgh. Hazy amber brown with sweet Toffee malt and spicy clove nose. Banana dominant in flavour, sweet, malt, rounded mouthfeel.

Copper colored with an off white head. Banana and biscuit nose. Full bodied dunkel. Some sweet malts and more banana flavor. This provides depth and distinction and a marvelous, long finish. A tad sweet, but completely delicious.

BlackHaddock (1697) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
The normal brown 500ml bottle, best before 16th Jan 2009, reviewed on a wet and windy English Sunday afternoon in March 2008. Poued into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass. Muddy, dirty mid-brown colour and cloudy of course. Light, grubby biege foaming head, which is huge by the way. The aroma is of toasted bread and burnt vanilla smells in a heady mix which also has hops and yeast esters trying to vie for attention. The taste is all vanilla and baked bananas. Not as sweet as my discription may imply. This has hidden flavours too, you have to search for them. Apples and Pears, non-sour citrus fruits as well. Not as thick as I anticipated, but not watery either. The flavours stay in the mouth and don’t fade to anything nasty, like some beers can. All in all a fine beer, not the best Dunkell Hefeweissbier I’ve ever had, but well up there with the better ones.

05-MAY-2012, bottle @home, from "Barley Wine". Murky brown and light! with lasting lacing beige head. Yeasty and malty nose. Bread and bananas. Really smooth and mellow drink. No bitterness, just creamy delight. Lovely.
