COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Pours muddy brown with a thick creamy head. Spicy, fruity banana-ish nose. Smooth, refreshing, fruity flavour. Wheaty, with small notes of apple. Estery finish.

Bottle. Poured a hazy orangish brown with a fizzy off white head that diminished in seconds. It looked highly carbonated and fizzed like soda throughout the length of the drink. The smell was like apple cider (apple, clove, spices), and other fruits like banana. The flavor was lighter than the aroma with cloves, spices, and fruit detected. Light and dry, wanting to pull the moisture out of my mouth with each sip. Iím not sure if this ones for me.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2006 Murky brown with an orange tinge - probably what Sydney water will look like in about a year if we donít get much more rain. A large frothy head that lasted a while, particularly due to the endless streams of bubbles speeding their way to the top of the glass. The aroma was of creamy bananas and some cloves, but also a bit of citrus. On tasting the toffee notes became more evident as well. There was a decent balance in the flavour that was leaning towards the dry and bitter end of the spectrum, but the excessive carbonation, a thin body and metallic feel created a disappointing palate and finish. 6 4 7 2 10 2.9 Re-rate: Much better conditioned bottle this time around. Mostly the same, but it had so much more to give when the carbonation was at a decent level.

Dark brown beer with a light orange tint and a thick white head. Aroma is very fruity, light wheaty aroma, sweet malt, apple, clove. Flavour is sweet, wheaty, nice spice, apple, apricot, light toasty/bready malts, spicy finish. As it warms, there is even more fruit, apple, pear, some toast and a bit of malty biscuity sweetness in the finish. Nice beer.

So-so. I actually prefer Franziskaner dark weisse over this. Little going for it, IMO.

500ml. bottle. Pours a hazy orange/brown color with a large, creamy beige head. Yeasty, malty aroma with lots of cloves and a hint of banana. Flavor of cloves, wheat malt, banana and a touch of citrus. Very easy drinking beer.

Bottled: Pours a decent dark orange with a fluffy head. Fruity (citrus, banana), clove, and nice malty aromas. Well balanced flavours with good complexity matched with a great mouthfeel make this a beer to remember. Nice one.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 The 500 ml bottle yields a cloudy, orange and caramel colored body with a large tan head that leaves good lacing. Thereís lots of orange citrus, clove, caramel and floral hops in the nose. Palate entry is relatively dry with the caramel, clove and citrus flavors developing in the mid-palate. Effervescent, but not overcarbonated, this beer is smooth and very drinkable. I also detected hints of banana and alcohol in the short, dry finish. Well done.
