Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

500 mL bottle. Pours a deep reddish/light brown color with a large lasting head. Typical sweet banana aroma with just a tad of roasted malt as well. When I started drinking this it was too cold, but after letting it warm a bit, flavors of clove, banana, and bubble-gum came through. Very well balanced with a slightly sweet finish. Good complexity for the style.

Cloudy light brown pour with a large, well maintained head. Acidic flavors dominated by clove with little hop note. Astringent finish that is very refreshing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Murky brownish with a huge head that simply refuses to settle. Soft, malty and aromatic with a wee touch of hops. Surprisingly low carbonation. 110102

Bottle from Colorado Springs. Pours an yellow-brown with a lasting head and clinging lace. Aroma is a thud of banana and clove, with just a touch of spice in the rear. Flavor is clove, bubblegum, and it finishes almost exactly like the taste left by eating a ripe banana. Palate is slick. Overall, an above average Hefe-Dunkel.

Excellent clove/spice, banana, overripe fruit, candi sugar, it’s all in there. A really good beer, not overly sweet like some.

Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of allspice, cinnamon and clove with a bit of a peppery note in there. Taste is of figs, brown sugar, pepper, and banana as well as a touch of perry. Well balanced and very enjoyable.

Bronze, with a gigantic swiss cheeze head.
Rich, grainy aroma with plenty of yeasty spices and a bit of booze that mingled together very nicely.
Easy drinking, the wheaty malt can become a bit cloying. It finished silky smooth with witbier banana ester yeastiness. Mixed along with something salty to kill off the sweetness, this Beer is fantastic.

Nice appearance. Light, mostly clear brown with just the right size white head (small/medium). Aroma of caramel malt, maybe a bit of chocolate. Much the same in the flavor except that i also seem to get just a hint of a nutty flavor in there too maybe. Also i can notice a bit more chocolate in the flavor. Only a small hint of wheat. Not bad at all. A good all around beer that I wouldn’t mind to drink again.

Bottle. Sweet banana, apple and malt aroma. Orange-brown coloe with small head. Sweet-sour malt flavor - a tart apple finish. Light bodied. Not nearly as good as their Hefe.

Sampled at Brew Ha Ha 2005. Cloudy orangish amber with a thick, off-white head. Aroma contains some light banana, roasted barley, and orange peel. Some grainy rye, caramel, more orange peel, and crisp wheat flavor. Very low phenol level, barely any is detectable. Smooth bodied.
