Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

This is definitely not my favorite dunkel. The aroma is very metallic. The taste is someone metallic but this dissipates as it warms. It has a pretty light amber color with a modest white head. Drinks smooth.

Light amber pour with a thick white head. Metallic aroma is a turn off. Taste is fruity and grainy. It’s a dunkel definitely. Not a bad beer but nothing that blows me away.

Bottle, 0.50l. Hazy amber brown color with large frothy off-white head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana, caramel and mildly roasted malt. Taste starts with moderate sweet biscuit and caramel malt, follows refreshing yeasty, grainy with banana notes and mild bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. I could drink it every day, although I would add a bit more carbonation...

Bottle, 0,5l. Pours hazy brown color with beautiful creamy, tan head. Typical weizen aroma, lots of banana and dough and a bit of caramel. unique rich wheat flavor, full of bananas. Full bodied, medium carbonation and a nice long aftertaste. One of the best beers I had so far.

A nice rusty brown opacity with thick off white head. Spicy, malty, and herby. Tastes great, a hefty hey!

Keg Half Pint at White Horse European Beer Festival 2012, Parsons Green, London in Aug 2012 - Cloudy light brown in colour. Yeasty, wheaty and spicy (cloves). Malty; sweet bready malts, wheat, buttery caramel, hint of chocolate. Fruity; banana and apple. Decent. Very drinkable.

Pours a hazy chestnut brown with a massive thick and foamy off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit and maple/clove. Taste is mildy sweet banana biscuit and roasted malt with notes of clove. Earthy clove aftertaste. Solid body and thick mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Another solid offering from a great old brewery.

From bottle. Dark brown with sizable white head. Aroma is dark fruit, corn flakes. Less sweet than typical hefeweissen, with caramel notes, clean bitter bursts. Effervescent.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, röstmalzig, Karamell, dunkle Früchte. Geschmack hefig, würzig malzig, dunkle Früchte.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2014 Pours a dark brown with a white head. Smells of fruits and a touch of chocolate and toffee. Medium heavy mouthfeel. Taste is perfect balance between the hefe bananas/cloves and the chocolate malts. One of my favorites.
