Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Cloudy dark brown-amber color with large fluffy head. Bananas, yeasts, malts & toffee (but not too much) in the aroma. Fruity-refreshing malty-bananaish taste. Smooth mouthfeel, easy to drink. Just as balanced as the standard Hefeweizen, but I like this style a bit more.

Tap @ Taphouse, Copenhagen 141024. Estery and wheaty with fruity notes and a light sweetness, banana, low carbonation, medium body with a watery to oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter, wheaty and estery.

This is one of my favorite. As a dunkelweizen, this one is the best. Dark and hazy with a big head. Taste of toffee and roasted malt. Great beer at all.

Brown/orange opaque brew with a small white head. Honey, cereal, floral hops banana and some light spice. Taste is mainly sweet at first, with some bitterness in the later stage. Fizzy with a sticky texture. Long finish.

Bottle at home, 19th October 14. Pours a huge annoying head, pretty carbonated, the beer is dark. Aroma is a little banana and yeast, some sweetness. Taste is a watery banana, yeasty blend with a little spice, not bad

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 500ml bottle poured in its own weizen glass. A - Big fluffy bubbled aired tan head. Good retention and many lacings formed and left in the glass. Cloudy chestnut color S - Smells pretty much like a hefeweizen: The combination of banana and cloves and also very bready to the nose. The difference is the sweet caramel and honey in the end. Delicious T - The taste is much more toffee caramel, caramel malts and roasted malts. Some banana esters and brown bread. Very light bitterness M - Medium and bit molasses body. Medium carbonation. Dry taste and light bitterness. Very pleasant and drinkable O - Delicious as expected from a Weihenstephaner. Refreshing and delicious [ BA Review @ 6/11/2011 ]

Pours a cloudy light brown, with a pillowy white head. Aroma includes notes of banana, cloves, and spices. Tasting notes include banana, fruits, spices, and is quite dry. Not bad at all!

Bottle pour. Pours a really cloudy caramel color with a mild banana bread like aroma. Soft caramel and banana flavors with a nice malty background. Semi wheat finish as expected. Interesting beer here. Enjoyed this for sure.

Aroma pugent dried sweet bananas, can’t help but feeling it is a bit artificial. Nice colour, tast like the artificial sweet dried bananas which overpowers the beer. But interesting enough and 5.2 gives it a little, how you say in English, a little bang bang? I don’t know how this could be rated so high, its interesting but imagine if this beer was the norm, and you drank it all the time, then even Fosters lager would taste good.
