Pours a brown color with a malty wheat beer aroma. Taste is very subtle, with mild fruit notes. A crisp beer with no complexities. A mellow beer, with no frills.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: lots of haze and particles, itís a light bronzish color almost brown, very large beige head, head is dense, but fades quicker than I expected Aroma: yeast, clove, banana, lemon, citrus, Taste: banana, yeast, bread, caramel malt, a slight hop bitterness on the finish, Palate: lively c02, frothy, slight bitter aftertaste, leaves mouth dry, Overall: tastes more like a hefeweizen than I was expecting based on the color, good beer, kind of like a hefeweizen with the banana toned down and added hops and caramel ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 500 ml, poured into a weizen glass. ABV 5.3%
Dark amber to light brown in colour, with a tall and thick off-white head. Good retention, actually it never leaves the glass.Light lacing left on the glass.
Lots of spices on the aroma other than the expected clove. Cinammon. Maybe nutmeg. All that between both ripe and fresh bananas,
Very fruity taste, ripe bananas, ripe pears, caramel, toffee, a little bit of bubblegum on the finish.
Medium on the body, with a biting carbonation.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This pours a turbid mahogany color with a soft glow where the light strikes through. Lots of bubbles making their way to the top. Gold and orange hues. Fat scrumptious head of beige foam that fell slowly and leisurely to a ring and cap and then to a light layer on top. Handsome and stately in the glass.
Nose is fantastic. Wheat, deep ripe banana, soft malt with a light caramel. Bread, nutty and some apple to give it a crisp tartness with the crisp and dry smelling wheat. Spices are clove and nutmeg, cinnamon and light allspice. Thereís a tart aspect to the nose and itís complex but not enormously complex.
Taste is smooth, silky, soft malt. The fruits follow the nose all the way and the spices enhance your every taste of this well rounded body. Carbonation is ample but soft. The apple and the dry wheat give it a crisp flavor, the banana and the nutty malt accentuate the grain. It finishes dry and lightly sweet. Refreshing and well turned out. Silky deep and vibrant in character.
Vibrant is my favorite word to describe the malt character of a good hefe. Itís a beer that lets itís malt shine. This one flowed like silk and had plenty of bread to offer but nothing heavy. Sweet, round and creamy. The mouthfeel is supple and sensational. The sweetness lies delicately and just underneath every flavor quality giving it itís dark character with the nuts and grain. Spirited, civilized, sensational. Thereís a good reason that this is one of the oldest brewers in the world and that they do hefewiezens so well.

Smooth caramel tones in color, aroma and taste. Subdued flavors of banana and clove spice, with distant hints of bitter chocolate carry to the finish as this shrouded twin to the Weissbier charms the palate with old world authority.
