Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Dit is een zacht tarwebier. Merkbaar is dat het mout gebrand is, waardoor er een lichte karamelsmaak en -geur aan het bier zit. Het behoudt wel zijn frisheid. Ook tonen van perzik, citroen en thee.

Ar- clove and subtle banana phenols dominate the aroma, with a hint of bubblegum Ap- hazy copper color with a strong off white head Fl- very similar to the aroma with clove, banana and hint of bubblegum and caramel. Definitely a bready thing happening from the wheat. Little hop bitterness, well balanced Mf- medium to full bodied, great carbonation, big and soft, Ov- I dig this beer but expected more for some reason, flavor comes off a tad thin / watery otherwise it's great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Hazy, almost dirty brown colour, with a medium white head. Nose is stong banana with some roasted malts. Taste is also dominated by banana, and light roasted malts. Low bitterness. Nice hefedunkel.

On tap in Daytona Beach FL. Pours with a hazy copper body topped by a creamy off-white head that leaves sticky patterned lacing. Fruity, spicy and lightly bready Way more balanced (think of the load of banana and clove notes in most competitors) and more complex than perhaps any other beer of this style in my experience. Body is a bit too thin. Overall: world-class version

Bottle - Cloudy brown colour with large and stable frothy beige head. Decent wheat aromas with crushed wheat, some breadcrust, banana, cloves. Taste of breadcrust, banana, yeast and a bit of roasted malts, some dried dark fruits maybe. Medium body, lively carbonation, yeasty finish, chewy texture. Classic dunkelweizen, very nice.

Pours from 16.9oz bottle(room temp) a cloudy brown with a large billowy head of foam that shrinks slowly and leaves a fine solid layer, with lots of lacing, right through to the end of the session. The smell is Wheat dominated but I can also sense clove, banana, and maybe some dark fruit? The taste on first sip kind of surprised me as I’m getting a lot of roasted malt and grain. After that, the fruitiness moves in with a good plum and banana presence and the clove, that I noted in the nose, finally shows up adding some most welcome complexity. I like this and I could drink more. Bottom line: Plenty of flavour in this Dunkel Weizen....I can easily recommend it.
