Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Poured into supplied glass from one pint bottle, simply beautiful. Cloudy pumpkin with thick head and excellent lacing. Typical wheat aroma, with same taste but decent malty flavor.

Pours with, naturally, a lot of head. Smell is yeasty, slight banana notes, pleasant. Taste is carbonated at first, but quicklz evolves in to a fruity-weizen taste, that is truly splendid. A very good beer!

500ml bottle into a tulip. From notes. A: Pours a hazy dark brown color. The head is a roughly-textured one finger heavy cream shade, featuring poor retention and no lacing. Not one of the prettier weizens I’ve encountered. S: The typical weizen melange is here - banana, cloves, wheat, and noble hops, with the cloves being the most dominant note by a hair. Once it warms up a hair, caramel and brown sugar notes appear. Certainly a very good aroma, just not quite as inviting as their standard weizen. T: It starts with pleasant notes of caramel and wheat, before its ester character (cloves, mostly) and ever-so-slight hoppiness finishes it off. While it’s pretty damn simple, everything is in near-perfect balance, creating a fairly effortless brew. M: While it’s a bit sweeter than their standard weizen, it’s still fizzy, light, and easy to drink. The body here seems to be fuller in texture, as well. As such, this is slightly more decadent-feeling. O: Make no mistake, this really hits the spot in all the right ways. This is yet another solid offering from Weihenstephaner.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2015 Merky brown appearance with a solid, beige head. Mild, malty aroma. Lacking initial taste but picks itself up at the back of the tongue. Sweet, full taste with a mild palate. The bavarians know how to do this. Drank it from a proper weissbier glass the second time around. That helped...

500 ml bottle. Unclear brown body with a decent, lacing off-white head. Aroma has caramel, banana, hint of bubblegum, light toast and some spices like cloves. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruity yeast, hint of toast, banana and spices. Fine balanced body and decent aftertaste. A nice one indeed.
