Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Smells like dulce de leche cake, with some gouda cheese, caramel and butterscotch all wrapped in there. A lot going on with the aromas, so enjoy it for a while. It has great color for a dunkel, like burnt caramel. Very nice creamy white head. The flavor is of roasted malt, through and through. Not sweet like some dunkels can be, and that’s a compliment. It has the tiniest hint of a sour finish, but in a very pleasant way. It has a finish that’s long enough to bring you back for more. Overall, this is what I want a dunkel to be- not sweet and cloying like a cheaply-made dunkel, and in fact a good bit sour. Very enjoyable and I’d buy it again for sure.

It has a deep hazy orange amber body with visible carbonation. A quick pour fills the glass with foam. After a minute to settle I very slowly finished pouring and ended up with a nice three finger head. The light beige head hangs on well and makes lots of cool lace patterns on the glass. Big German yeast notes rush up to fill my nose. The aroma is all about the classic banana notes with some mild clove and bready sweet malt. The best way to describe this beer is that is like banana bread with nuts and chocolate chips. The palate is a firm medium body with nice active carbonation.

Classic Bavarian Dunkelweizen with rocky, cream white head and warm golden brown colour, hazy as expected. Gentle, complex bouquet of pear, banana, plums, chocolate, bready yeast; velvety palate, soft and fruity, nutty and chocolatey malts, subtle and elegant wheat sourishness in the finish with a brief, mild hop accent. Exemplary.

This is a swampy little hefeweissbier. Sweet but not too sweet. I don’t normally like banana bread, but this is what I wish it tasted like. Is there a better example of the style?

Dark brown color with a big long lasting white foamy head. Aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, banana and malt. The taste is also sweet with notes of caramel, cinnamon and malt.

Aromes de pa i plàtan, també hi trobo pera, briox, sucre, llaminadura i acidesa. En boca destaca mes el malt que el llevat que es mostra amb un final especiat.

Bottle. Light tan. Big banana clove spice with rich malts, toast, wheat. Low carb. Sugary aftertaste. Decent, not my favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle bought at the Weihenstephaner bottle shop at the brewery in Freising/Germany. Overall a delicious hefeweizen dunkel with a lot of caramel and cocoa. Very refreshing and tasty.
