frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 16, 2005 Hazy, semi-opaque, deep, dark amber with a splash of cola-color. A thick cap of film follows a big head on the pour. Yeasty, dusty hefeweizen aroma with clove & spice, incense, smoke and banana peel... "meatier" than lesser hefes. Flavor was thick & heavy on bitterness with a sweet wheat & yeast character resting on malted haunches. Fat flavors... nice & thck. I bought this for my wife then ended up drinking most of it (sorry, honey). I will continue to purchase, drink and thoroughly enjoy this beer.
