Hazy, semi-opaque, deep, dark amber with a splash of cola-color. A thick cap of film follows a big head on the pour. Yeasty, dusty hefeweizen aroma with clove & spice, incense, smoke and banana peel... "meatier" than lesser hefes. Flavor was thick & heavy on bitterness with a sweet wheat & yeast character resting on malted haunches. Fat flavors... nice & thck. I bought this for my wife then ended up drinking most of it (sorry, honey). I will continue to purchase, drink and thoroughly enjoy this beer.

Aug 29, 2008 50 cl bottle. Hopheads´ tasting 22. august. Hazy amber/light brown color, off-white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor is sweet and fruity, wheat and yeast.

Aug 28, 2008 Its a good German beer, its got some dark toasted malts, not too hoppy and it goes down real smooth. Weihenstephaner are winner and this one is no exception

Aug 26, 2008 fine aroma, pours dark with light brown head, flavor is very nice, lots of sweet flavors still the sweetness is under control. weihenstephan sure know how to do a weizen style brew.
