3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a reddish cola color, settles a bit darker with a nice clear gem-like glow, thin tannish head breifly makes an effort to stay but fizzes quickly down to a thin hazy skim and ring, lace in minimal spots. Aroma is a bit faint of toasty sweet malts and dark fruits lending some plum, raisin, dates, and dried apricot. Taste is a bit more filling, starts a little weak and thin but begins to gain malty weight with a nice toffeeish sweetness and finishes strongly with a nice mixing of dark fruits of plum, raisin, dates, and figs giving way to a little chewy caramel lingering finish which is super smooth and creamy. Nice finish on this. Theres a bit of a metallic twinge in the midway parts but is barely noticeable and appears mostly at the front of the tongue and the lips. Feel is close to medium with a light silken creamyness that floats through the palate with ease and the finish is quite nice with a light building of chewy sweetness. A soild dopplebock by any standards, good stuff.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma has chocolate bannana and toffee. The flavor has much the same with a smokey hint. The mouth-fell is a little light. The beer is very smooth. A great doppelbock.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smooth and toffee flavored all over, a tiny hop bite (could be more!) - thinnish, handles the 7.4% well, not overly sweet - a very good dopple.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Immediately upon opening the bottle, this beer's big aroma hits the nose, with prune, raisin, toffee, caramel, and bread (cookie dough?). I recommend a "swirling" before pouring Korbinian- the initial part of the bottle poured clear and red, and the thin tan head quickly disappeared. The remainder of the bottle, though, was full of yeast sediment, and upon pouring it into my glass, a thin white head reappeared. Flavor is all one can expect from a good doppelbock- being especially heavy on prunes and toffee. A malty delicacy and a neat addition to my bottle collection.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Number 400! Pours a deep browned red. Nice tall tan puffy head. Nose is sweetened with malt. There's something else hiding in the nose, maybe caramel or toffee and almost a sour-ish hint. Hard for me to pick out. The taste is good. Sweet malt with a chocolate and oatmeal cookie mix. Smooth as silk finish Will look towards having this with my yearly Oktoberfest gathering.

Just tried this beer last night, Wow, I just loved it. Slightly sweet, maybe chocolate or toffee. I will need to more to be more desriptive.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sugary caramel malt aroma, some brief hints of raisin, date and perhaps licorice, along with a faint yeasty banana component. Deep reddish brown color and a slight head, fed by very tiny bubbles. Flavor is decidedly malty and sweet, plenty of maple sugar, caramel and toffee, with a bready, nutty and very gently hopped finish. Thick palate, bordering on syrupy, with a low level of effervescence. Shouldn't this be known as "Korbiniator" or something?

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one is cloudy brown with lots of floaties and a significant head that dwindles to a thin layer of film. Aroma is sweet with a huge malt profile. Full bodied with a creamy feeling mouthfeel. Flavor is super strong and malty with a definite alcohol presence. There's a ton of malt in this brew and not much else.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sweet malt aroma, dark dark amber in colour with a large brown head. Very malty and sweet, slight bite of alcohol in it, caramel and a bit of toffee with slight bitters that hang on the roof of your mouth. Thick in body decent none-the-less.
