A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.

Bottle pours deep brown, decent carbonation. Figgy malty aroma yields a similar flavor profile. Sweet but not cloying, earthy malty finish. Good hearty dopplebock, but not too heavy as some are.

Greit weizen doppelbock. Soft wheaty body, with a nice taste of smooth caramelised malt, fruity yeast and mild hops. Great.

Appearance is deep brown, opaque, with Reny highlights and a thick tan foam cap. Aroma is bready and roasted malt. No noticeable hop aroma or alcohol. Taste is rich caramel, dark fruit, molasses, and a hint of roasted malt on the back side. Hop bitterness is minimal. Mouthfeel is medium with a decent carbonation and slight alcohol warmth. Finished very malty with no noticeable hop character and leaves a thick caramel malt flavor on the tongue. Seems somewhat subdued and maltier than other doppelbocks, with less of a dark fruit/licorice character

Egészen mély, rubinvörös árnyalatú, a pohárban lévő mennyiség csökkenésével egyre átlátszóbbá válik. Illata borszerű, égetett cukor, mazsola és dió aromái kergetőznek benne, íze pedig nagyszerűen továbbviszi ezt a kissé fanyar, enyhén karcos vonulatot. A vártnál súlyosabb, égetett édesség, zserbó zamata bontakozik ki, melyhez idővel további, kisimultabb ízjegyek csatlakoznak némi tejszínes, vaníliás elemek formájában, így téve kiegyensúlyozottá az összhatást.

Dark copper color with a full, tan head that left lacing on the side of the glass. The aroma releases caramel, butterscotch, and just a hint of fresh coffee. The malts are delicious and rich but not overly sweet at all, and the beer itself doesn’t seem heavy-bodied at all. Great beer for breakfast!

Pours a dark brown with off-white head. Earthy aromas and spices on the nose. Bready, hints of banana and molasses, lots of spice. A really nice doppelbock.

The body has a dark brown color with lighter brownish red highlights. On top sits a nice light tan head which was about two fingers thick right after it was poured. This head slowly fades but hangs on till the last sip, (not that it took me long it get there lol). There was some nice slick lacing, as well, which slid right down the glass as I drank. The aroma is pleasing and sweet with notes of dark sweet bread, cooked or burnt sugar, as well as some mellow notes of over ripe fruit and classic German hops. It has a firm, slick, full bodied palate with a flavor profile that matches its aroma. The flavor is full dark sweet bready malty goodness. There are some hints of nuts and fruit mixed into the mostly sweet malt along with some decent leafy/spicy, almost earthy hops for balance. The hops also add a nice balance to the finish making it quite drinkable.
