UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) The word "Bock" doesn’t appear anywhere on the label on this beer from the brewery said to be the oldest in the world - but clearly, that’s what it is. Dark and heavy with lots of malts and sweetness, and not really any bitterness. Pleasant and quite characteristic. 301003.

Mouthfeel is smooth, filling, slick & soft. Slight syrupy & sugary but a very nice roast takes over. In the best doppelbock category!

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2007 2007-10-03, draught at Freaking Frog, Las Vegas, 7-4-6-3-13=33 Dark chestnut color. Aroma of unmalted cereals and malt. Good body strength, good caramel flavor, but the final is a bit stale. In the final there is basically dark caramel.
2004-05-16, bottle, 5-4-7-4-13=33 Beautiful amber color. Light aroma (malt, caramel)… more interesting flavor, with a good malty structure and a balanced, long final.
