4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
phenomenal, it pretty much tastes like christmas cake to me. it’s got the currants and other dark fruits, it’s got the deep, kinda brown sugaryness, it’s got the bready yeastiness, and it’s even got the alcoholism that every christmas cake must have. om nom nom!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from beer club. Pours dark brown with a good tan head. Aroma roasted malt and taste of chocolate and nuts. Also, just a little sweetness that lingers on the pallet. Really enjoyed this one.

Leżakowane do końca terminu przydatności. Kolor miedzi, piana średnia. Zapach mieszanka ciemnego słódu, karmelu, śliwki i przypraw. Smak jest zrównoważone pomiędzy słodkim i nutami przypiekanymi.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This dunkel was unremarkable. It is a strong beer, yes, but a great beer, no. The aroma revealed something slightly off, reminiscent of bret. The taste was well balanced between malt and bitter but the body was a bit less than I anticipated from the visual and olfactory clues. I was a little disappointed overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark brown with reddish highlights. Thick beige head dissipates quickly.
Aroma is malt, nuts, roast. On the palate, there’s malt, malt and more malt, with bread, toffee, nuts, roast. It’s not a particularly complex range, but it works well. A medium body and smooth carbonation, with the alcohol very subdued, makes this a very easy drinking doppel bock.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big boozy and malty, sweet, caramel, toffee, syrup aroma. Nice color and head. Flavor is roast, brown sugar, chocolate. A little more subdued than the aroma anticipated, but really tasty, and not too sweet. Good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good doppelbock. Slightly boozy, slightly sweet, lots of flavor hanging out on the palate. Roasted nuts a sticky caramel. Not the best doppelbock I’ve ever had, but certainly a great example of the style.

One of the best beers I have ever had. An excellent Dopplebock and it nails every category: Aroma, Appearance, Taste, Palate and the Overall.
