COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.

A malty behemoth of a brew. Worth the years-long wait. Just a shade beneath the mighty Celebrator for dopplebock supremacy, but man this is a fine beer by any standards.

Mild malty nose. Pale beige fast disappearing head. Clear red color. Malty and roasty caramel taste. Some hints of berries too. Bitterness at the end.

16.9oz bottle at Biergarten Haus in DC. Pours a hazy, garnet amber with some thin, lacing, creamy , slightly off white head. Nose was a nice balance of fruit and malt, dried fruits, raisins, prunes, caramel, a little booze, some tropical fruit, wet bread, nougat, some light cocoa powder. Flavor is very similar, some brandy, bread, nougat, light chocolate, wet cracker, lots of prune, mixed fruit juice. Full, sticky finish. I really enjoyed this.

Deliciously sweet flavor with a little bit of smokey flavor. This is a great beer for a cool day or as a dessert beer. One of my favorite Weihenstephan beers.

Appears dark Burgundy in colour with a voluminous orange-cream coloured head. Gorgeous, full chocolately aromas with dates and carob (I hate carob). It is like taking a sniff of a chocolate cake with dark fruits in it. Utterly more-ish and I wish I could share this with my beloved mother who adores such things. The flavour is marked first by prickly sharp carbonation and then sharp astringent juiciness. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all, not to say that I am disappointed. It has a just-ripening plumminess about it and then it sucks the liquid out of your mouth revealing tart redcurrant, raspberry and rhubarb. This mellows somewhat into dates, red apples, unripe apricot and thin treacle. An intriguing beer not for the faint of heart. A second taste uncovers chocolate and dusty cocoa. What an intrigue.

Draft at Bierstube. One of the best Dobbelbocks I have had. Silky black pour. Lasting foamy off-white head. Rotted pit fruit. Heather. Burnt Challah bread. Molasses. Cloves. Toffee. Sugar plums. Tootsie Rolls. Dark and juicy. Thick and sweet. Great stuff.

Dobry, smaczny i tresciwy ciemny podwojny kozlak. Czerwone odcienie i bezowa trwala piana. Karmelowy smak i nuta rodzynek orzecha i sliwki suszonej. Aromat gozdzikowo karmelowy. Smak pelny. Piwo bardzo tresciwe i troche ciezkie. Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Receptura klasztorna dopieszczona do perfekcji. Polecam.
