Nice brown leather color with a touch of ruby thrown in. Sweet malt aroma.
Beautifully complex flavor: bready & nutty with a touch of dried fruit thrown in. Normally I’m not a bit fan of the dried fruit flavor but this has a slight bitter dryness that really balances out the sweetness. Korbinian is a practically a perfect beer.

Aug 20, 2008 Dark brown with a malty aroma. Full bodied and moderalty sweet with a nice lingering finish left me wanting more. One of the best Dopplebocks I’ve had in a while. I realized this was a great beer when half was gone in just a few moments.

Aug 18, 2008 16 oz bottle purchased at Spirits RB. Mostly sweet aroma with notes of raisin, dark fruit, slightly sugary and a touch of smoke in the background. The sweetnes translates into the flavor nicely with lots of dark fruit showing up from the malts, molassess and some black liquorice. Very solid beer that was a pleasant suprise.

Aug 10, 2008 16oz bottle. I found this in a small bottle shop in Milford, DE. The heavy malt aroma was overwhelming, but enticing. It was thick, chewy and very sweet on the palate. This reminded me of a malt liqour more than a beer. A good brew.
