jjuf1853 (175), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA May 8, 2008 Bottle pours a rich mohogany brown with a foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, brown sugar, caramel, and raisins. Flavor is sweet at first with loads of roasted malt flavor and followed by a bitter coffee finish. Very smooth mouthfeel, but slightly syrupy. Overall a very nice beer.

Suds_McDuff (951), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, USA Jul 12, 2008 i was excited when i first saw this in my downtown beer store, but it seemed to fall when i popped it open at home... pours with a lack luster head, and has a molasses, toffee strange sugar aroma... 1 in 5 americans has genital herpes... some nice flavours and abv is well hidden but it doesn’t really do it for me... happy to try it, happier i won’t have to again!! MakeItDrinkIt (50), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 11, 2008 Chocolate-mahogany color with a thin light-tan head. Aroma is roasty grains, slight molasses, toffee, plums and dark cherries. Flavor is a beautiful rich bounty of chewy dried dark fruits, bits of toffee, chocolate - reminds me of some of the finer dark "sipping rums" I have enjoyed. Finish is fairly crisp for such a mouthful of flavors, but does leave some lingering roasty grains and hints of coffee. Wonderful doppelbock from teh "world’s oldest brewery." yesyouam (313), Fairport, New York, USA Jul 8, 2008 Weihenstephaner Korbinian is a solid, crystal clear, brown-red beer with an oily, bubbly, beige head. Fresh sweet clean malt dominates the aroma. There are notes of bread and possibly raisins. It has a smooth medium body and a silky finish. It is lightly sweet and wooden in flavor. There are tastes of brown sugar, dark bread and resiny hops. It’s all soft and smooth.
