A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.

Very mellow, a well rounded beer that tastes a little like au jus (but i mean that in a positive way - sweet and savory)-which could be why it goes so well with steak and roast beef. A great picnic beer, but if you wanna buy a 6?er good luck finding one in America and if you do its probably gonna cost you a pretty penny. Its a beer you have with special meaty meal and that?s about it. Doesn’t impress as much on its own.

Delicious dopplebock that pours to an impressive tan head, releasing a full aroma of plums, caramel, freshly turned earth and alcohol. Finish is both dry and sweet and fruity. Another great beer from an excellent brewery.

Draft. Pours dark brown with light tan head. Raisin and plum aroma. Raisin and plum with caramel in the finish. Carbonation initially followed by syrupy finish. Complex flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Originally rated on 9/4/08. Korbinian pours a dark amber body, thin head with minimal lace left on the glass. Aroma of licorice, caramel malts, and earth. Flavor was similar but with hints of alcohol, and dried fruit, it was a little on the sweet side. Overall a fairly good beer, even though i liked it i probably wouldnt buy again.

Bottle at Weihenstephaner Berlin (great place). Pours dark with ruby hints. Smoke, toast, figs on the nose. More figs, treacle, port even on the taste. A fantastic end to a meal. Bloody lovely.

Aroma is very malty with a toasty aroma. Appearance is a dark brown with a nice fluffy off white head. Flavor has a great melanoidin malty flavor. Bitterness is medium low, but enough to prevent the beer from being cloying. Mouthfeel is medium-full with a medium-low level of carbonation. Overall, it’s a great tasting dopplebock. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is malty and rich. The color is dark and clean. The taste has an appealing roasted start that leads into a smokey malt flavor with a mild sweetness followed by a pleasant and slight bitter finish. Very well balanced. On of the better examples of a true German doppelbock.

Best beer I’ve ever had. There may be better, but I haven’t had it. Enjoyed it cool, not cold, as that’s how a dopplebock should be enjoyed. I just wish I could find more than a couple bottles at a time.
