The source of its pearling, effervescent taste is the secret fermentation process which we have developed especially for our crystal wheat beer. It quenches your thirst like no other beer. With its elegant appearance, it is the speciality of our brewery. Goes well with fish, seafood and light dishes.

Tasted 17/04/2006. 500ml bottle from Rumble’s, Wellington. Pours a pale-yellow gold with a solid pure-white head atop. Carbonation not as visible as I expected, loads of tiny bubbles but certainly not volcanic. Classic German weizen aroma of sweet bananas and wheat (expected spice didn’t eventuate). Tart wheat with some background lolly-like malt in the mouth, up front. Fierce carbonation comes to the fore now, making the beer’s aromatics and flavour explode in the mouth - much like creaming soda. More tartness and some clove in the dry finish. Lightweight without being watery thin. Powdery residue remains on the palate, yeast attributes lingering. Not one I’d drink everyday but this is a good refreshing ale that is very well made.

Really cool, I loved it. Pours macro clear yellow, with a great head and the most amazing bubble trails rushing up and crashing into the bottom of the head. Aroma is hefe all the way, banan clove. Flavor is a bit weak, but still good. Banana, clove, bready and sweet.

Clear watery yellow with a white head, lager like. Aroma had some whaet and a hint of banana. Taste was wheaty with a little banana again and some pepper with a thin finish.

16.9 oz bottle - Pours crystal clear and golden with a moderate to large head that fades away after a few minutes. Very noticeable yeast and citrus aroma, flavor is lightly sweet with considerable citrus flavors. The palate is lively and a bit thin, but not terribly so for the style. The finish is light and refreshing. It’s really quite tastey.

The usual wheaty aromas and look. A good beer but nor the best weissbier I’ve had. Citrus with a clenan finish.

500ml bottle: poured clear golden yellow with a big fluffy white head. Strong yeast aroma and the esters are quite big. The usual: banana, clove. Seemed to have a light chlorine taste midway into the taste followed by a sweet banana finish. Definitely a good beer.

Poured World’s oldest beer into 0,5l weiss glass. Crystal clear yellow beer with fluffy head. Strong wheaty aroma. Exploding fruity esters followed by a strong hoppy bite. Refreshing and outstanding.

Clear and light gold, gassy and bubbly. Little sweet taste, a few hops, little yeasty. Bananas. Was a little too lagery to be called a true weissbier, but a good beer, drinkable, if just a tad too sweet.
