2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was just an okay beer to me.Nothing all that special in my opinion.I picked up an aroma that reminded me of bananas.Definitely not one of the better German Wheat beers that I have tasted.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew has a mild fruity banana aroma. A very lively pour resulting in a very large off white head that last lasted a fairly long time but left little to no lacing. It's body was a very light transparent yellow orange color. This brew has a mild banana flavor to boot. Mild carbonated taste with little to no after bite. Not enough character in this brew to make me appreciate it fully.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
First Kristall I have ever had I think it is the best beer I have had not counting Hoegarrden wit and Hacker Pshorre Weiss. I hope to try more Kristalls. I think it has such a good flavor. What I like about Weiss beers is that they have a real food like taste. They can be smoky or sweet. Each gulp is different, and great. This is a sweet one and tastes wonderful

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 26, 2006 Clove nose, some sourness.
Pale, big head,large bubbles.
Taste is still rather full compared to other Kristalls - banana and clove ad libitum, exits a bit weaker than the unfiltered version.
It is ok, but I must admit I have never seen the point in kristall weissbier...

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I typically find Kristalls refreshing, but they taste to me like a hefe that's missing something which, to be fair, is a pretty accurate assessment. Lovely light gold, nice head. Nose is subtle and restrained, wheaty lemon and some banana. Flavor has some yeastiness, but not a huge amount. Banana again. Crisp, quite refreshing, but I gotta say I miss my floaties.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden color with a smaller (for Style) white head. Dry wheat and ester aromas. Dry wheat flavors also. Did a taste test between this and two other Krystalls (Spaten & Erdinger) while none was a clear winner, the last few ounces in each glass were combined and formed a beverage better than any individual. Proving to me that these kristalls all end up missing something in the clarifying process.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This brew has an interesting nose of berries, banana, sawdust, perfume, and alcohol. Pours from the bottle a cloudy light golden honey. The towering collossal creamy snow white head is fully lasting with no lacing. The well balanced flavor is mostly fruity wheat sweetness with light acidity. Finishes short and sweet like a slice of bread. The light and creamy palate is lively and finishes dry. One of the better German Wheats I have sampled in terms of balance and depth.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of the best examples of a German wheat I have come across. Clean, refreshing zesty banana-like aroma. Soft, creamy, long-lasting lacing head. Crisp flavor that wakes up your taste buds and makes them stand at attention. Appearance could be a bit more cloudy. Would make a great summer beer - great for multiple servings.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Not quite as consistent in quality and taste as Tucher’s or Erdinger’s, but a damn fine brew.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very pale urinous gold clear with a large lasting white head. Medium bubblegum, banana and fainter sour grain and faint floral hops aroma. Medium light low carb body. Medium mild yeasty, sweet bubblegum and sourish grain start and middle where the banana and some corny malt comes through and linger into the finish and aftertaste. Interesting enough but it’s a bit clinical and lacks character and life compared to the hefe.
