The source of its pearling, effervescent taste is the secret fermentation process which we have developed especially for our crystal wheat beer. It quenches your thirst like no other beer. With its elegant appearance, it is the speciality of our brewery. Goes well with fish, seafood and light dishes.

Bottle from Gator Beverage. Pours slightly hazy but nearly clear light golden yellow with a big fluffy white head. Aroma of yeasty banana esters, hay and wheat, pears and light fruits. Flavor is banana, yeast, hay, a honey sweetness that makes this sweeter than a hefe, pears. Pretty much tastes like it smells. Very light bodied with plus carbonation with a lingering sweetness on the tongue. A nice brew overall that I would never turn down.

Out of the bottle and enjoyed during the WC final. Clear and deep straw with a full white head. Wheat nose and flavor, with slight spice in the backing. Nothing great, but also not bad.

Pint bottle. $3.99 at Well’s. Pours, well, crystal clear, with a yellow tinge. Big pillowy white head. Little if any lacing. Aroma is subtle: yeast, banana, malt. Flavor is much the same. Almost like drinking water. Deliciously light yeast-banana water. My favorite part of this beer is the appearance. When poured, the clear nature of the liquid make this phenomenon clearly visible: a tornado of carbonation spiraling up from the bottom of my pint glass (not the proper glassware, but hey). I stared in fascination, then drank the beer. The best light beer I’ve ever had.

The beautiful bastards at Weihenstephaner have done it again. This was my first Kristallweizen but I’m sold. The appearance was extremely sexy. Effervescent, clear, heady, golden. I’m convinced that this beer’s looks will get you laid. Potential sex partners will shed their clothes and inhibitions at the sight of this glorious beer. Okay, I might be exaggerating a little but it’s a really good looking beer. Smell is excellent, too. The aroma had some banana, clove, and yeast. Taste had lots of banana, a good amount of bubblegum sweetness, cream, and spicy yeast. White meat and creamy cheeses would be a perfect match for this ale. Kristall was silky smooth, light, and refreshing. This one is perfect for when you want a wheat ale that’s a bit more fitting for a special occasion.

Bottle. A- Banana, laffy taffy, spices, wheat. A- Yellow color, crystal clear liquid, white head. T- Banana, banana, banana taffy, slight spice, wheat, slightly sweet, bubblegum. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- Tons of banana in here. A lot like Banana laffy taffy. A little bit of spice like cloves and coriander come through as well as a hint of bubble gum that make it feel like a lesser Hefeweizen, but lesser doesn’t mean worse! The banana and flavor is just outstanding! The appearance too. I have never seen a beer so clear. It’s like looking through a glass of hinted water. Just a great beer. Really want to try more of this style now.

The body has a clear golden color with lots of beautiful carbonation steaming up to the surface. The pour produced a very tall, aggressive and tight foamy head. It has a bright white color with great retention and lacing. Its nose is full of fruity yeast with notes of banana and clove. There are notes of pale beady wheat as well and just a touch of citrus. The flavor is very bright and fresh with plenty of fruity yeast. There are notes of banana, clove and a slight hint of citrus fade into dry crisp wheat malt notes. The finish is very crisp and snappy with some wheat tang and citrus quickly leaving the tongue. The body has a solid medium feel with cleansing active carbonation.
