COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The source of its pearling, effervescent taste is the secret fermentation process which we have developed especially for our crystal wheat beer. It quenches your thirst like no other beer. With its elegant appearance, it is the speciality of our brewery. Goes well with fish, seafood and light dishes.

Pours straw yellow with a fizzy white cap. Standard aroma of banana and clove. Flavour more or less follows suite. Nothing ground breaking, but tasty and refreshing. Good summer beer, this would be a great way to introduce people to wheat beer.

Bottle at home. Pour is pale straw/lemon in appearance with a big white head and good lacing. Big wheaty aroma - straw, light citrus, a touch of clove, somewhat doughy, and banana. Taste is citrusy - light lemon and banana - heavy wheaty, straw, somewhat floral, and grassy with a touch of spice on the backend. Medium body with huge carbonation. Nice Summer beer.

not bad, a rather typical german wheat beer but undoubtedly a good one. there seems to be a bit to much alcohol present here but otherwise a tasty sparkling treat.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear light golden colour, foamy white head of fine bubbles which slowly diminishes and nose is wheaty with banana, bread & yeast. Taste is sweet, malt, wheat, banana with notes of bubble gum and spicy light bitterness. Foamy mouth feel, light bodied, well carbonated, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

Pours perfectly clear the color of light straw yellow with a tinge of something green. Champagne effervescence and a billowy white head that is loathe to recede and just stays with a thick collar and cap. Soapy wet lace. Very beautiful. Nose is yeast, banana, clove. fruity lemon and peppery with a little skunk. Taste is light as a feather and follows the nose. Banana, sweet grain, bubblegum, a touch metallic and just a little bitter to end. Malt comes forward as it warms but never becomes too sweet. Finishes dry with a hint of apples and pear. Soft, creamy and earthy. Delicate.

Type: 500ml bottle Glass: Pilsner glass From: K&B Wine Cellars in Allied Gardens (San Diego), Calif. Price: $3.99 Purchased: April 19, 2013 Consumed: April 20, 2013 Misc.: Part of the bottle reads “Brewed under the purity law, of 1516.” Poured a golden straw clear color with 4-5 fingers of pillowy head. Average-to-below average wet watery lacing. Below average-to-minimal retention on the top. Completely different smells from skunky malts to banana and cloves. The banana and cloves (hefeweizen) seemed to take over. Grassy malts as well. Tasted much smoother than the smell. Hefeweizen notes - banana, cloves, sweet sugary lemon notes, a bit of Circus Peanuts dominate here. Skunky, grassy, bready malt backbone won’t go away though and is what ends up on my tongue when it’s all said and done. Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, refreshing finish. Another good beer by Weihenstephaner, but not my favorite by any means. The others I’ve had were better.
