COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A good beer takes its time. The long storage makes our yellow bright lager, “Original”, a flavourful beer enjoyed with fine poured, white foam. With a mild hoppy note and its pleasant fresh spicy taste, it goes very well with salads, poultry, stews or with a hearty snack. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Formerly known as "Weihenstephaner Original Bayrisch Mild (Premium)".

Good clear color, probably from great water source. Aroma is light and warm. Taste is a bit fuller in the mouth than I was expecting, but finished clean and flavorful with a distinction lost in many lagers. Paired with pecan crusted chicken and pasta. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle into weizen glass. Grainy, peppery aroma. Pale hazy yellow beer with towering white head and constant fine carbonation. Sweet grainy flavour, easy drinking. Finish is sweet and slightly spicy. Pretty standard German quaffer.

On tap at World of Beer (Charlottesville, VA). Cereal aromas, slight corn, slight grass. Hazy light gold with a mostly fading white head. Somewhat sweet, grainy, lightly hoppy. Light bodied.

Taste is also medium sweet and grainy, starchy, with light grass and straw. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, easy drinking

Wow this stuff is delicious. Golden pour with thin but clingy white top. Aroma is bready with faintest hop just detectable. Flavor is remarkable bready malt that’s so smooth and a little sweet mid-sip. Finishes clean. Simple and fantastic.

One of the best lager beers but still lacking behind ale beers. White head is nice, it just needs a bit more bitternes.

From chilled bottle spilled gently in to lager glass. A quick aroma of thin breads w/sharp edged crust. A color of high yellow and spread goldings. I like it. The six pack I purchased had labeled bottles stating "Original Premium Premium Bavaricum" and the handle "Original Premium". What the Helles. Good stuff, this.

Pours clear light golden yellow with average frothy white head. Aroma is very malty, honey, straw. Light sweet, light bitter, smooth short finish. Light body, oily palate, average carbonation. Mellow yet refreshing.

500ml bottle from Bliznetsy in Moscow. Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma is bread, malt and weak hops. Taste is bread and grains, followed by a mild bitterness. Everything that I would expect from a helles.
