2013/05/09 - Pours a pale straw color with a bubbly, white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is hay, cereal, citrus and slight honey. Taste is similar to nose with a lingering sweet and bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with sharp carbonation.

Head: white, medium, frothy, medium retention. Colour: yellow, clear.
Aroma: just a bit of malt sweetness and hops, which make a minty lollipop together. Taste: malt sweetness, light hoppiness. Slight sourness in the finish.

Weihenstephaner Original has a very thick, fluffy, white head and a brilliant, golden, bubbly appearance, with lots of little white chunks floating about and a good amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, bready, biscuity barley malt, and the flavor is similar, with a nice hop bitterness in the middle-to-end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Weihenstephaner Original finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and highly drinkable. Overall, this is a great beer, and I rate it very highly. Lovely! RJT

Draft at Frankford Hall. Pours a clean gold with fully white head and lace.
Notes of golden malt and grassy noble hops. Moderate mouthfeel and decent carbonation.

A - clear golden-yellow body, capped with a white head.
S - The mild aroma is primarily grains, with hints of citrus fruits, hay and hops.
T - Largely follows the aroma. Bready grains with hints of citrus and hops. More sweet than bitter. I’d like this better if it were stronger; as it is, it tastes like a world-class light lager.
M- Light body with a medium-high amount of carbonation. Slightly dry and crisp.
O: An excellent if delicately-flavored lager that is easy-drinking and refreshing. Too light and too close to ordinary to be very interesting.

Simple and easy going Helles which starts off a bit sweet and ends a bit too dull. First I thought I would score it high but the aftertaste hit some bad points. Therefore bit aboce average.

Milky pale golden-yellow colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of light yeast. Taste of mild hops, ripe grains, cereals and warm hay. Very easy andnice to drink, surely one of the better Dortmunder / Helles but just no real highlight.

Light, German hop aroma, similar to a pilsner. A little skunk on the nose. Clear. Crisp and inoffensive. Nice malty breadiness. Little hops. Very drinkable. Some sweetness. Above average heller lager.
