Very cold tasting...a sort of rich malty flavour, but not heavy in the slightest. There is only a little sweetness and only a little sourness, and a fair dose of bitterness, more than is usual for this style, and I like that. The bitterness has a metallic quality to it but it is not unpleasant. I normally am not a fan of the more "mild" beers but evidently, Germans have a much different standard for "mild", one that I can live with. This is a good beer and I would always be glad to drink it. thewolf (5723), Kolding, Denmark

Aroma is sweet and malty with a citric bitter edge to it. Slightly high carbonation. Sweet and slightly herbal flavour. Nice. bhensonb (4241), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 23, 2007 A light aroma, maybe grassy hop. Light brassy gold color with a substantial white head. A hint of lemon as the glass approaches the lips. Medium body, low carbonation, something of a grassy impact. Arguably hop. Not much malt, and the finish is a grassy bitter. Not that bitter either. More hop than Bud, but not so much as a pilsener. Pleasant. But why? AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA

Aroma is weak and a bit grassy. Mouthfeel is thin and sticky. Flavor is average at best but leaning more towards bland. Overall this beer is a major bummer considering their wheat beers are much better than this offering. Next time I will pass. undsioux7 (555), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2007 Pours very clear yellow with little head that disappears. Has some corn, grass, a bit of spice and a little hop bite. Started out ok, but off flavors come out as it warmed. jerome6957 (17), New York, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Sparkling clear, straw colored beer with a brief white head that disappears quickly. Spicy and grassy noble hop aroma pops out instantly, followed by whiffs of nutty grain and light bread. Some traces of corn. Flavor predominantly of strong and spicy hops with a long bitter finish. Gentle malt texture makes an appearance, leaving the beer just slightly balanced toward the bitter. Tart, refreshing and clean. For a lager, this beer packs tons of hop kick, though it comes across as kind of one-dimensional. bu11zeye (5433), Frisco, Texas, USA
