Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Jan 18, 2007 Golden, 2-finger white head. Pale malt, lemongrass and floral hops make up the aroma. Flavor on par. Nice mild sweet malt front, with earthy/grassy hop finish. Soft billowy mouthfeel. Of course ther is nothing in your face about this beer, just a very clean, well balanced brew. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA Jan 14, 2007 Pours a pale straw gold, very lightly hazed, and topped by an inch of quickly disipating white foam. No head retention, no lacing. Mild bready malt aroma. So far no big deal. But then...
But then I sip it. Oh yeah, this is good stuff. Subtle and smooth, but still pretty flavorful, this beer has a little sweet toffee malt and a mild frutiness that compliment each other very nicely. Behind that, there is an herbal hoppiness. Almost medium bodied, great carbonation, satisfying but not heavy in the slightest. Clean, but not crisp - not dry at all. Tasty stuff.
glider (53), Shrub Oak, New York, USA Jan 12, 2007 Flavorless. Decent mouthfeel. A sad example of German brew. Reminded me of cold tonic/medicine. Won’t be drinking this again. rayg1 (432), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Jan 4, 2007 Pours a clean clear looking light yellow with a small white bubbly head. Smells of straw and light honey with some weak floral notes and maybe a bit of funk. Taste is VERY light even more so than the nose which was fairly faint itself. Picking up some wheat flavors with a small bit of floral sweetness. This would be refreshing on a summer day. Still, If I were to go this light on a beer I would chose a good pils over this. tcfishler (65), USA Dec 28, 2006 Almost clear light yellow-gold. Good-sized, very persistent and sticky white head, with lots of lacing.
Aromas are surprisingly low-toned, with toast, ripe fruit, and spice.
Carbonation is high but exquisitely fine, lending a more substantial mouthfeel to this otherwise light-bodied brew. Flavors are light and more restrained than the nose, leaning towards the sweet side of the spectrum.
Outstanding - however, the sweetness means this is not the best option for a refreshing, quaffing lager. POD (198), USA Dec 22, 2006 Bottle. Pale golden color. White bubbly head with little to no aroma. Mild sweet beer flavor with lingering tart malt aftertaste. I drank it ice cold and it quenched my thirst. Not bad. I’d drink it again it it was free. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Dec 19, 2006 12oz - Pale straw colored liquid supporting thick white head. Bloom of hops upon pour. Apples and hops on nose. malt fading to waaaay too sweet a finish. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 11, 2006 Bottle sampled with Beerded one. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, corn and citrus. The flavor is weak citrus, sweet malts, with a thin palate. Not their best brew by far, but rather inoffensive.
