unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Apr 11, 2009 330ml Bottle. Pours clear, pale blond golden color. White foamy head. Grassy aroma with a hint of fresh bread underneath. Just the aroma alone whisks me away to Bavaria, Germany. Flavor is a very sweet malt, very smooth and a bit creamy. Finishes with a crisp bitterness and a grassy hop bitterness. Very mild and easy drinking. Absolutely perfect! Prost Borresteijn (1349), Amstelveen, Netherlands Apr 10, 2009 50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear pale golden colour, thin lasting white head. Aroma of yeast, malts, bread, grass, hops. Flavour is malty like bread, grassy and hoppy, light sweet with a nice little bitter lasting finish. Very crisp, clean and refreshing. donteatpoop (124), Youngstown, Ohio, USA Apr 9, 2009 A clear yellow that glows like the sun, medium white head resting atop it. Good retention, delicate lacing effect.
Smelled faintly of hops and grains.
Nice mellow taste. No real glitz or glamour, just a solid tasting beer.
Goes down smoothe, crisp and refreshing.
This is a very drinkable beer. I think that if I needed to sit down and drink all day (we’ll call that day "saturday") this would be a perfect beer for the ocassion. aguyintx66 (78), Humble, Texas, USA Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Poured a clear gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, grassy and malty. Has a sweet grassy taste with a slightly bitter finish. jaysonl69 (24), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 6, 2009 rather nice beer. great color with a great head. nice bitter aroma. very well balanced flavor with a spicy aftertaste, leaving a clean palate. riversideAK (2650), Shoreline, Washington, USA Apr 3, 2009 There was a heat wave in Seattle today so I decided to pick something up that wasn’t 10% alcohol since I am uninterested in attempting to win an imaginary contest on the computer. I drank this on the deck with my girlfriend and attempted to explain to her that I don’t attend beer related events every weekend, and that the tasting at Tom’s tomorrow will be the first one in a month. There is a record in the event section of the site, I got my paper trail locked down. Nose has notes of lemon, grass, and some bready malts. Pours pale gold with light haze and a thin head. The flavor is mostly sweet and bready with a soft hop presence in the back end that is grassy with a touch of pepper perhaps. Maybe a little fruity notes as well - apple would be the most noticeable I think. Crisp, drinkable, pleasant. Nice mix of sweet, light, but still flavorful. ljstephenson (111), Lawton, Oklahoma, USA Apr 3, 2009 Light golden pour with a thin white head, hoppy and slightly citrus aroma, grassy taste, good lacing on the glass, finishes watery, this beer did nothing to impress me. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Mar 29, 2009 Bottle. Kellery dust and nice floral citrus overtones. Very pale yellow with significant carbonation and a brilliant, blindingly white fluffy-rocky head. Watery, thin body both smooth and crisp with a light chalky feel on the dry finish. Lemony citrus with light grass/flowers and a solid, very faintly grainy pale malt base. Soothingly mild and simple, offers the hope of enormous repeatability. No off-flavors or apparent missteps - why couldn’t industrial pale lagers tended toward this?
