Grainy, earthy, and watery. Easy summer drinking, but Id rather have a Pbr. Headbanger (1601), Aurora, Illinois, USA

A sweet aroma with some citrus, grass, and some honey. A light body brings along a taste of a little blandness with a dry grassy taste. Not a bad brew but others from the German breweries have more there. TheBeerOrg (1595), Kentucky, USA

Aroma of bread dough, cookie malt, and toasted pale malt. Taste is bready, cookie, with a very clean lager finish. A little bit of Hallertau bitterness to round things out makes this is a solid lager. Mouthfeel is medium (full) bodied with lively carbonation. Saarlander (1589), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

A very nice and crisp HELLES that could have benefited from a bit more finishing. Seemed to go flat on me in less the 15 minutes after a promising start. Hops stay light yet dry and the malt is appropriate. Will try again soon to substanciate. Cavie (1521), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

Great grassy and bready aroma, really crisp and stingy. Wonderful hellas! Maybe a tad sweet but this stuff is excellent. This is my favorite from Weihenstephaner. Very nice light doughiness that compliments the clean fruity hops perfectly. Really drinkable smoothly carbonated body. Bring on spring. Forget the Hefe... this is their best (besides 1809). This is exactly what a hellas should be. 7.4.9.5.17
[Rerate 4.27.09] Pours a clear light golden with large fluffy super white tall foamy head with soapy lacing. Strong grassy aroma, a bit sweet, quite bready, fresh milled malt. Great bready flavor, lightly funky fruity noble hops, fairly sweet cereal. Very easy drinking, not quite as clean as I remember but perhaps this isn’t the freshest bottle. Great mouthful, medium bodied with smooth sparse crisp carbonation.
