ThaBobfather (130), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 7, 2008 Strong smell of daphadiles. Cloudy. Smooth, honey, complexity of first hops then honey. Good taste left over but leaves quickly.
DrDavid (157), , Vermont, USA Aug 13, 2008 (Bottle). Iconic "beer" aroma of malt, hops, bread, yeast. Golden yellow in color, with a bright white fluffy head. Flavor is smooth, light sweetness, and a mild hops bite. Smooth finish. Gotta love the idea that this beer has been brewed in essentially the identical way by Weihenstephaner since the year 1040. HughConway (259), USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear and golden with thick white head. Light hops and slight fruit to the aroma. Sweet to the tongue, slight bitter at the end.
