Slightly bitter, mild, with a fragrance of hops - our pilsner is a cut above the ordinary. A beer with character.

Pours a straw color with a medium sized soapy white head. Notes of butter, earth hops, slight ammonia, and dirt. Not great

A footed Pilsner glass full of Weihenstephaner’s Pils is a lovely sight. Effervescence and the snowy head make it a beer to lust over. In the aroma, you get cereal grains and earthy hops - not much, but par for the course with the style. Flavor follows the same suit yet with a more pronounced bitterness than most Pilsners. The lively appearance might make you think this beer will be spritzy. In fact, it’s extremely smooth and light-bodied. This is one you’ll polish off in no time. Good thing too since Pilsners get kinda shitty when they’re warm. Luckily, this one never got the chance to change temperature. I drank it too fast.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Clear golden color with white head. Light bready malts and some earthy hops in the aroma. Very balanced taste. You get a bit of malt and also some hops but nothing stands out. Body is quite soft for a pilsener. Not really my style of beer.

Bottle at Winking Lizard. Clear golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops, malt and fruit. Light-bodied with a mildly spiced hops character and notes of biscuit malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Aroma is skunky corn. Pours nicely with bright yellow color and small head. Flavor is straight skunk.

33cl bottle from the brewery outlet. Clear yellow color, thick creamy bright white head, good lacing. Quiet smell. Aroma is malty, grainy, biscuit with light hoppiness, very lagery. Flattish taste, bit sweet body, light bitterness in the finish, can feel alcohol already. Slick texture, soft carbonation, light body, decent finish. Solid lager but not really pungent or hoppy as usually german pilseners are, but its good.

500ml bottle pours clear yellow golden orange with a finger of head. Nose is round spicy corn, wet grain, straw, apple, orange. Taste is similar, crisp, light and balanced, earthy orange, grain spice and corn. Finishes low bitterness, doughy biscuit, light grassy grain, corn, straw, cracker. Great pils.
