COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Slightly bitter, mild, with a fragrance of hops - our pilsner is a cut above the ordinary. A beer with character.

Day 3 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle at Weihenstephaner Am Dom - Freising, 26/01/14. Clear pale golden with a well appointed white head. Nose is straw, lemon rind, pale malts, cereals. Taste comprise pale malts, light metallic nip, light citrics, grassy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp clean clsoure. So so pils - expected more, one of the lower ranking ones this weekend but drinkable none the less.

bottle, probably one of the best pilsner beers that I’ve had. Excellent brew, would definitely buy a case of this stuff!!

Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent lighter gold with foamy white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells doughy and a bit skunky (although not aversively so) with mild hop notes. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. No real pilsner snap, but decent nonetheless.

12oz bottle, pours a pale golden with an airy head that quickly disappears. Classic Euro pilsner scent. Sour grain and corn in the taste, easy to drink and even a little bitterness in the finish. As far as pilsners go, you certainly could do worse.

Bottle at home. Aroma is soft lemony hops with a touch of funk. Mellow sweetness underneath, noble hops up front and on the finish. Lemon, white pepper, touch of pine needles. Good Pils.

Orange gold with a rocky white billow of foam. Herbal aroma of sun baked pine needle, liver (?) and date expired dried rosemary. Punchy bitterness mellowing into Butterkist and cashew; hops lean and piney with soft lemon and grass. Paper and marzipan touches. Full-on bitterness to finish, although I have been on the cheese. Good, but probably the least impressive of the Weihenstephaner stable sampled to date.

Pours golden yellow, excellent clarity, no head retention. Not much aroma. Long fruity finish. An enjoyable and refreshing brew.

Clear light golden, good frothy white head, vanishes after a while, thin layer remains, nice lacing; malty nose, bread, dough, grass, basement aromas; mild sweetbitter taste, bit toasted; medium body, average carbonation; smooth dry and bittersweet finish.
