Slightly bitter, mild, with a fragrance of hops - our pilsner is a cut above the ordinary. A beer with character.

Flaska Freising Weihenstephaners ölförsäljning. Ser ut som en helles.Fint utseende fin lacing och stor doft. Stadig pils. Klarade den vanskliga resan bra. Bättre än helles gjorde.

Bottle. If you love Pilsner you will love this beer. Me, not so much. Clear gold color with a large head. Bitter grains in both aroma and taste.

Copenhagen 6/6 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Some lions, a shield and a crown on the label to signal that we are in good old knightly Germany. Pours clear yellow with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is quite sharp and a little bit sulfurous with a tinge of smelly socks and moldy gym bag. Light carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is way more balanced than the aroma. Sweet malts followed by nice medium bitterness which lingers in the aftertaste. It does not look or smell very good - but it does taste quite ok. Just like boiled cabbage.

12 ounce bottle. Clear golden and a lot of carbonation rising rapidly. A white head leaves thick lacing. The aroma is skunk and a bit unpleasant. Fruit under that is fruit cocktail. A little sulfur, too. The flavor also has sulfur along with that fruit. Rich and sweet malts. The flavor is an improvement over the aroma. Spice and some grain. Earth and sugary notes. Sugary spiciness to the finish. I ended up liking this. Appearance and aroma will pull my score down.
