COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Over 1000 years of brewery experience together with American innovation, two years of development and the four ingredients malt, hops, water, and yeast resulted in a new dimension of the art of brewing and in an innovative, ground-breaking beer: Infinium. The sparkling beer is complex, unique in taste and produced strictly according to the German purity law. This sparkling beer is dry and strong in taste despite the more the 10 percent by volume alcohol and unsettles preconceived opinion about the limits of the German purity law. The strong, deep golden beer will enter the market in noble, corked, 0.75 liter bottles. The joint venture of Weihenstephan and Samuel Adams unites a new way of thinking about the world of the American extreme.

Pours a clear pale gold color with plenty of fizz. Citrus, some hops, and a little bit of sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. I don’ t know, this one was just weird.

Reviewed 1-10-12 tranfer from BA - Poured from bottle into champagne glass on New Years. Appearance - Pours an orange color with large bubbles and a head that decayed quite quickly. Smell - It was quite a sweet smell. Citrus fruits and some banana as well as a little bit of malty/bready smell. Taste - Sweetness hits the mouth first. Some citrus and hefeweizen flavor. This is then subdued a bit by the alcohol. Mouthfeel - The carbonation level was about right for a champagne, but a little off for a beer. So depending on what you are looking... The body was a little more thin then expected, but on par with something like a champagne. Overall - More of a champagne with a bit of beer flavor. Not bad, but not really my cup of tea, and for the price not something I would likely do again.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes dunkelbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig fruchtig, blumig, würzig. Geschmack stark malzig, fruchtig, Gewürze, blumig.

Rated on 02-14-2012 (Corked and caged bottle) This beer has a medium sized very fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, hazy golden body, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is malt, sweet, fruity, spicy, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet, citrus hops, fruity, spicy, malty, and boozy. The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is medium bodied. This is a sipping beer with a very good flavor. It is worth trying and it is a beer I would drink again.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma of spices, caramel and pale malts, light tartness, and some light fruits. Flavor the same. Average texture. Interesting beer but the not the best.

Dark brown color, rich roasty flavor. But to be honest, I expected something better

Deep golden color, white head. Sweet smell of malt, caramel, some honey and sweet fruity. Flavor is again on the sweet side, with a lot of fruits (apple, grape, plums), sweet malt and noticeable alcohol presence. Warm, sweet finish.

Shared a 75cl bottle from Ruppert (Luxembourg). Pours a clear copper colour with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and caramel. Average carbonation and medium oily body. Taste is more sweet than bitter with some vanilla notes and a bit of alcohol. Overall, a tasteful digestive but a bit too sweet that can turn it into a boring beer.
