3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a golden honey color with a huge white foamy head. Aroma is strange. There is a sweetness to it, but there is a strong astringent note that I’m not exactly sure what it is. Flavor has that normal Belgian note. Very strong alcohol in it. It is pretty bitter, without a whole lot of actual hop flavor. There is, once again, a strange astringent character to it. It is almost a little off-putting. As it warms a little bit, some of the more sweet malty goodness comes out. It does have an extraordinaryly rich and creamy body, but I’m not sure if I really like this.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep golden color, white head. Sweet smell of malt, caramel, some honey and sweet fruity. Flavor is again on the sweet side, with a lot of fruits (apple, grape, plums), sweet malt and noticeable alcohol presence. Warm, sweet finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shared a 75cl bottle from Ruppert (Luxembourg). Pours a clear copper colour with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and caramel. Average carbonation and medium oily body. Taste is more sweet than bitter with some vanilla notes and a bit of alcohol. Overall, a tasteful digestive but a bit too sweet that can turn it into a boring beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Belle bouteille mais déception à l’intérieur. Beaucoup de bulles et au final pas de grande surprise dans cette bière qui est horriblement chère !

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 750 ml at home, poured into a big tulip glass, ABV 10.5%
Bright dark orange colour on the body, crystal clear, with intense activity in it. Almost three fingers of off-white head but I always get that with this glass. Not very thick head, but a good retention nevertheless, leaving minimal lacing around the glass.
Aroma of caramel, malts, apricots, toffee.
Taste is sweet and malty, with caramel malts, peaches and apricots, white grapes too giving it faint wine qualities, notable alcohol, traces of vanilla, toffee.
Thin body, very carbonated, sticky palate.
Overall this was better than expected. Surely hyped, but partially it justifies this hype.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, 2011 vintage purchased off the shelf. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate fizzy tan head, and a lot of carbonation coming up in it. Nose pretty sweet, with some lighter fruit tones coming up front (somewhat similar to a champagne) and some earthy undertones to it. Taste is actually pretty dry, and reminds me a lot of a white wine (grape bits to it). Feel is a little bubbly, with a sour finish on it for me. Not a huge fan of this.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2011 bottle. Pale orange color with a soft white head. Smells sticky sweet with fruit and sugar. Sticky malt and big sweet sugared fruit flavors. I hear a lot of people talking down on this, but it was a solid beer. Glad we have another one.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Overhyped, that was the first thing that went through my head when I tried it. A new dimension in the art of brewing my arse. This is a sparkling Belgian Ale that is trying to be more than what it seems. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrus zest mostly lemon not orange, some bready malts. Finish is nice and palate cleansing. Not worth the price tag.

Gusher. Poured medium amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of zesty fruit, bready, spicy yeast. Medium body, flavour of sweet candy, sweet wine. Dry, sweet end.
