3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear copper with little head. Initially not a lot of aroma, but increased as temperature increased - rich and malty. Medium body with lightly fluffy mouthfeel. Flavour has a light refreshing start that develops into a richer maltiness with dark chocolate notes and a long finish of coffee and some hop bitterness. Overall a nice dark beer - easy to drink but with a lot going on tastewise.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.5l bottle. Clear dark reddy brown, with minimal head. Caramel and bread aroma, with resin hoppyness. Slightly sweet, with light bitterness. Guessed it was 5.2pc, and was spot on.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Weihenstephaner Resturant. Pours a clear brown body with a small off-white head leaving long lacing down the glass. Nose is strong burned caramel, yeast and floral notes. Low carbonation and medium-bodied. Tastes strong caramel with some grassy and herbal notes. Dominated completely by the lovely caramel-malty flavor and I can sense a light smoky flavor in there as well. Really good!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 500ml bottle on 20/3/2011. Pours a clear dark amber with a decent head. The aroma is very malty, with caramel, toffee and biscuit notes. The flavours are very similar - mountains sweet caramel and toffee malt, with a touch of chocolate. There’s a good dash of bitterness at he back to balance the sweetness of the malt. An enjoyable beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. The aroma is malty, light bitter, some black bread. The normal large pale beige head is creamy and has a normal duration, the body is dark red. The taste is a little bit bitter, light malty and with a soft metallic finish which is not that bad. The body is light to medium strong, creamy with a normal carbonation.

From a bottle into a half-stein. Dark, clear cola pour with a coarse white head that disappears in no time. Cherry Ripe dark chocolate, brown sugar and plenty of malt, with a touch of spice and honey and just the barest hint of bohemian hops. Smooth roast coffee finish lingers afterwards. Smooth body. Nice dunkel.
