COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

look: 3 smell: 4 taste: 4.5 feel: 4 overall: 4 A - Pours a hazy sunset orange with a white head that creates thin lacing and descent retention. S - Peppery banana, clove, stone fruit, dense wheat malt, acidic fruit. T - Hints of apple cider, cinnamon, banana, clove, bubblegum, stone fruit, very clean wheat malts, light pepper, with a kiss of citrus. The pepper comes out more on the finish. M - Medium body, fluffy feel. Super tasty German beer. A poetic marriage of flavors with a peppery hint on the finish. Awesome!...This is what I expect out of this brewery every time. Exelente cerveja.

Poured from a 16.9 oz. bottle into a Weihenstephaner Vitus chalice. Vitus pours a dark and cloudy golden straw color. A frothy off-white foam matures gracefully as I pour the bottle, never quite reaching the cusp of the glass. The nose on this is like an imperial version of their hefeweizen - bold and crisp (at least by 500 year old German brewing standards), with a bouquet of banana, clove, and light fruity esters. No dark fruit in this Weizenbock, though. Banana sweetness and clove spiciness really dominate the flavor of this beer. A syrupy honey sweetness comes into play first, with the banana and clove coming in next, and then there is a long, slow finish as the beer tries to diminish the sweetness. The finish is a bit drier than the start, but it is still a rather sweet beer. There is a light and crisp feel to the beer from the carbonation with a little bit of syrupy sweetness on the back end. Overall the mouthfeel is very clean, though. There is no residual sweetness on the lips or tongue after each sip. I think the regular Hefeweizen is the better beer; it still packs a flavor punch but has a lower ABV and the mouthfeel is a bit superior. Still, it is not surprising that this beer is quite drinkable. I could have a few glasses of this anytime.

Bottle, 50cl, Mitra Nijmegen. Had this with friends as digestif at a vegan dinner party. Smells dark put pours pale golden with a small head. Tastes of pancakes with vanilla and raspberries, banana. A bit too sweet for me now I’ve tasted more darker beers and come to appreciate them.

Spices, mostly cloves mixed with banana with a lemon flavor on the linings of the flavor. Beautiful palate and a beautiful head. Was expecting it to be very drinkable, but the beer is so good it lets you know you are drinking a 7.7 percent beer.

Pours a hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Smells light with hints of citrus. Slightly crisp taste with traces of banana. A refreshing brew. Good for a hot day. Very nice.

Goudblond, mooie kleur.
