Sweet, spiced aroma. Flavors of bread dough & spice, some banana, had a slight malt backbone/finish. Tasted like they took their Hefe & threw some malt into it, not like it was malt brewed. Wasn’t dark enough or malty enough to be a true Weizen Bock, made it a little muddled for me. This wasn’t terrible, I’d call it solid & drinkable, but not really true to style. I’d much rather drink their Hefe, that was a much cleaner, crisper brew. If you want a true Weizen Bock, look elsewhere. rustychiles (1023), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Color is a yellow gold with a faint haze and very good carbonation producing a nice white head. Aroma is a little sweet with a hint of banana. Taste is creamy and sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with a creamy feel in the end. Finish is sweet with flavors of honey and banana, then a mild yeast flavor and a touch of bitterness. After taste is a smooth lingering of the honey and yeast. Overall this is a very good brew, well rounded and full of flavor downender (2578), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2009 Bottle from Sun Devil Liquor as part of a great haul today. Pours a nice honey color, just slightly hazy, with a fine white head which dissipates to a ring around the glass. Smells like lemon and wheat. Very nice bubbly mouthfeel. Tastes like hops, malt, yeast, and water. Very nice. fastcarjoe (8), Morton Grove, Illinois, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Aroma reminds me of lemons, clove. and a hint of banana, very fragrant, a little malty in the nose, like a sweet bread. Appearance is cloudy orange with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Although it is cloudy, the brew looks clean. Flavor is very complex hitting many fruity and sweet notes finishing with a citrus and clove zing that lingers, very little hops. The lively carbonation is complimentary to the flavors and this good example of Weizenbock beir.
