| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Hazy orangey yellow with an average size fluffy white head. Smells like sweet bread and cotton candy. Initial flavor starts off rather sweet then finishes with some citrus lemon bitterness. A little to sweet for a morning beer after NOTB. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Very pale golden pour with a hefty amount of carbonation and a big white head. Hefty amounts of clove, lemon, banana and wheat in the aroma. Very spicy mouthfeel with yeast and wheat along with a bit of banana and an awesome clove finish that lingers for a solid minute after the beer is gone. I’m slowly falling in love with the "oldest brewery in the world". DYCSoccer17 (2189), Davis, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 21, 2009 500 mL bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma has plenty of lemon, wiith lots of banana esters. Some metallic notes are also there along with a bit of sulfur. I don’t think I have ever seen a weizenbock this light in color, although i havent’t had many in my life. Modestly hazy golden body with a large, frothy, white head and lots of lacing present. Sweet, banana yeasty coconut flavors present to start, which is followed by a sticky, metallic, lager-bock-flavor. Some grassiness and cereal graininess is in there. A little warming to finish with a crisp herbal hop bite. HomeBrewHawk (269), De Soto, Kansas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 20, 2009 500ml brown bottle served in a hefe glass. Poured a hazy pale gold. Lots of carbonation, typical for a wheat beer. Thick white head. Plenty of clove in the aroma more than banana. This is the way I prefer it! Medium to light bodied, nice smooth mouthfeel. Spicy flavor from both the yeast and the wheat. Also some fruitiness. Lingering clove flavor in the finish. You can taste that there is strength there, but it is not hot. Plenty of malt. This is a classic weizenbock. joshwilfong (778), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Pours a very slightly hazed medium yellow with a tall fluffy white head that has great retention. Aroma is strong banana, yeast, vanilla pudding, lemon, wheat and sweet malts. Flavor is creamy banana laffy taffy, wrapped in a vanilla laffy taffy but not half as sweet as either, a hint of wheat, lemon-lime soda, some fruity esters, spicy yeast, a hint of bitterness on the finish but not much. The palate is creamy smooth while still being slightly acidic. A fairly well put together brew, maybe a bit much on the banana notes for me but it was still refreshing, interesting and sweet.
