Some banana notes from the wheat but more like a spicy, higher alcohol hefe. Good overall flavor. Reminds me of a wheat belgian without a strong alcohol flavor. Toned down flavor that is enjoyable. Worth a try. Nightfall (647), Athens, Greece

Wheaty, but with a strong alcohol character. Sourish, not easy to drink. Compared to their classic styled beers, this did not impress me at all. TheJester (702), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 15, 2009 500 mL bottle. 500 mL bottle. Cloudy orange with a small but sticky white head. Sweet citrus in the aroma, along with the usual wheat and spice. Less banana than some others. Flavour is sweet, with yeast and spice, and some wheat near the end. Alcohol is well hidden. Body is full and creamy, although it thins out near the end. Nicely carbonated. Above average, but not spectacular. BOLTZ7555 (1075), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Quite fruity aroma with banana, citrus, and plum. 10 karat pour with a nice fluffy ivory head. Clove, sweet malt, and wheat. Not a bad beer, but probably won’t go after it again. kingbubbatex (4), boise, Idaho, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Poured from 500ml bottle. 51 degrees F. A light weizen bock, hazy straw/yellow color with big white head. Great banana/citrus aroma. Spicy with a nice tangy finish. 7.7% abv not noticeable. Recommended! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Not you typical weizen bock pour. Lightly hazed golden color with a tall white head. OK, typical hefe pour. Sweet wheat and ester aromas. Hints of yeast and fruit. Not real fresh smelling. Sweet malt and wheat flavors in the front followed by a mix of spice. Some cloves and banana in the finish and linger. Thick, yet a tight zip on the tongue. Not sure of the date of this one, but I’m quite certain this one fresh would be very good. The deeper I get into this one the more I like it. Nice malt base and very drinkable. Quack-Duck (3167), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany
