SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Jan 15, 2009 Hazy pale gold with a tall, long-lasting, creamy white head.
Fresh, lemony wheaty aroma.
Lightly sweet, some lemon notes. Spritzy palate. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Jan 14, 2009 The look is cloudy with a yellow golden color and a decent white colored head. Smell is bananas, some spice, wheat, and some fruits. Little lighter than I would have wanted. Taste is banana, alcohol, wheat, and malts. tarheels86 (705), Washington DC, USA Jan 10, 2009 500 mL. Aventinus glass. Pours a bright, neon cloudy yellow with a nice white cap that settles down into a nice thin layer. Not much lacing. Aromas of cloves, coriander, yeast, pears, green apples. Taste is light and refreshing with a nice wallop of spice, yeast, citrus, and sour apple. Dry, wine-like finish. Very nice though a little too much cardboard at the end. mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Jan 10, 2009 Hazy straw blond colour with massive thick, lumpy head. Aroma is quite yeasty with a little spice. Texture is rather thin and a little flat. Considering this as a white beer the flavour is quite fullsome with the spiciness at first and a softer, sweeter finish. Scauca (408), Lovere, Italy Jan 9, 2009 Almost clear golden with a huge creamy white head. Very sweet aroma, candy floss, banana and some cloves. The flavour is sweet as well, a bit cloying for my likings. Well brewed but not my beer. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA Jan 7, 2009 Bottle. Mildly sweet wheaty aroma, with hints of alcohol. Cloudy orange body, off-white head. Fruity flavor, emphasizing banana. Clean finish. Very satisfying. Foxbush (452), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jan 3, 2009 This is Christmas 2008 beer. The head was frothy and white it filled the glass. This spicy flavored beer is hazy blonde color. The Wezen beers se are just not my favorite. I need to work on learning more about them. I am an IPA man. Give me more hops!!! trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Jan 2, 2009 Pours hazy gold with a puffy, rocky white head. Excellent lacing down the glass. Sugary wheat aroma, lots of banana and bread in this one. Fresh-smelling, nice change from the dank basement you sometimes get with the weizenbock. Bubbly mouthfeel, although it does get syrpuy from time to time. The taste was good, but a little too sweet for me. Solid wheat and banana/yeast ester base. Loved the clove and lemon peel components as well.
Only problem I had was it was a little too sweet. Kind of got a cotton candy-sugar taste after a while, to the point I craved an IPA or something sour to wash this beer down with. At first I wanted to mark this beer down for it in the taste category, but everything that came before it was too good
