Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow with a tall, creamy white head that settles to a ring but renews a thin layer with a twirl of the glass. Light lace. The aroma is banana, clove, wheat, light citrus, and even a hint of mint. Similar flavor with spices standing out. Light to medium body and dry. Nice!

Pours with big and cloudy, white head. Color is witbier-like hazy orange, very attracting. Aroma is much banana-like, wheaty malty, yeasty and slightly alcoholic. Flavor is yeasty, wheaty, with banana and slight metallic note in the end. Medium-bodied, low carbonated and a bit thin palate.

Pours with a murky. golden body topped by a very thin head with no lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a light banana note and aa slight yeastiness. Medium bodied and ingly from the carbonation.

500ml bottle. BB 20.09.09. Woah...wasn’t expecting it to be so pale! Decent sized fluffy white head atop a murky straw body. Nose reminds me alot of the hefeweizen; unripe banana upfront, some tropical fruit (pineapple?), clove spices, bit of rich vanilla malt alluding to alcohol. Body is dense, creamy mouthfill, lively carbonation, bit of stickiness, tart towards the finish, with a drying hint of alcohol. Big banana bread body, dense sweet dough, cinnamon and clove, vanilla bubblegum,, a bit of peach and pineapple with sharpness to balance. Sweet finish, slightly bitter with a sharpness that takes the edge off. Fantastic. And here I was expecting all weizenbocks to be of a darker nature, then comes along this guy...a beefed up hefeweizen. Can’t go wrong with that combo!

Draught. Pours cloudy golden, with good head and lacing. Punchy on the nose, of citrus, yeast and bananas! Similar on the palate, with well masked alcohol content. Very decent beer.

Bomber. Bright gold, hazy, unfiltered. Big fluffy white head. Nose is malty, lemony. Taste comes off both bitter and sweet. A bit alcoholic, smooth, spicy. Nice beer.

(500ml bottle from Spec’s on October 11, 2008) You’d think this was a dunkel from the looks of the bottle. Pours a gorgeous orange with a solid, white frothy head and lacing that slides down the glass. Its aroma is of a serious German Weizenbock. Very sour, citric, and yeasty. Smells like a brewery. Smells like fermented wheat! Its taste is of banana, cloves, and a hint of hops. Smooth going down, almost makes you want to pucker. A finely crafted beer.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500ml. or 1 pint .9oz bottle into a weizen glass. Appearance: It had a golden color, which was lighter than I had expected and a hazy unfiltered body. The head is just off white in color and builds up tall and thick then very slowly fades making slick patchy lacing on the glass. Smell: The aroma had sweet malty wheat notes with yeast and estery fruitiness. Taste/Mouth feel: There are estery flavor notes of banana, apple, golden raison and bubble gum within a mildly sweet and tangy wheat malt. Also there are hints of clove and some mild spicy hops for balance. It has a solid medium body with a palate that is smooth and a touch slick with pleasing carbonation. Notes: Outstanding!!!
