A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

Možda i najbolje pšenično pivo koje sam pio, odlična aroma, tek nakraju se malo osjeti alkohol iako ga 7,7%...sasvim slučajno sam ga dobio i jednostavno jedva čekam novu priliku..

Draught at Ale &Hop, Barcelona. Very cloudy deep amber. Strong banana aroma. Quite alcoholic taste. Bit much for the afternoon.

Très belle couleur jaune ambrée. Très trouble. La céréale est très présente avec de fortes notes épicées. De l’amertume maîtrisée. Un grand plaisir de dégustation.

2015 BJCP Category: 10C Weizenbock

AROMA: Sweet fresh banana bread and lemon fruit. Subtle clove spice. Very pungent and enticing. 11/12

APPEARANCE: Lemony yellow; cloudy but plenty of clarity. Effervescence easily visible. Large, white, fluffy foam. Excellent retention and lacing. 3/3

FLAVOR: Strong bready flavor; blonde and amber grains. Esters impart sweet banana and bubblegum flavors. Lemon flavor is quite prominent, too. Clove is subtle, but makes a nice garnish. Delicious. 18/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium body suggests a lighter ABV. Bubbly but smooth. Dry/clean aftertaste. Very minor alcohol presence. Refreshing. 5/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: An amazing, near-perfect brew and a premiere example of the style. A sleeper in beer stores everywhere. 9/10

FOR WHAT IT IS, this is a great beer. Be warned, this is truely LIQUID BREAD, do not drink if youve eaten food within the day, it is high protein from being unfiltered.. Its a full meal. That being said... This beer tastes of wholesome ingredients unaltered and as nature made them. Full body, tan gold color, strong head light colored. Good natural sweetness lots of body. This beer tastes like homemade bread, some banana, yeasty, tad of clove or herb. The hops are hardly noticeable (personally i wish it had more hop). But it is a true treat to say the least. Easy drinking if youve got an appetite!! 7.7% and well covered, full flavor and can taste the love it was brewed with. The naturalness is bold. Great liquid bread. Drink on empty stomach, probably ice cold too. Good beer, especially at 3$ a large bottle and Purity law qualified.. Unique, be ready, and cheers to this!

Cloudy, pale yellow body with a tall, foamy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Lots of banana, spices and a bit of yeast. Soft, kind of sweet taste with a bread like finish. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very well round, really delicious weizen.

0.5L bottle. Cloudy orange colour with a huge white head. Aroma is fairly typical banana, cloves, wheat and yeast, general citrusy notes. Flavour is wheaty, yeast, banana, citrus, cloves and spices, tart with some sourness, also some alcohol but well hidden for 7.7%. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, medium carbonation, low bitterness.

I am a newcomer to Weissbieren. And am hooked. Banana and cloves seem to be the most often used deScriptors and Vitus is not lacking in that. I find it very similar to Weihenstephaner’s other Weissbier, but only with slightly higher alcohol content. And for the same price where I shop! It’s a no brainer! Great beer and it will be a regular for me.

Aroma of wheat, banana, fresh malt, clove, vanilla and yeast. Pours opaque light golden liquid with a very soapy big white head. Sweet taste of wheat, banana, hay, malt, yeast, resin and a light alcohol undertone. Full body with a creamy, smooth, very malty texture, soft carbonation and a sweet finish, very drinkable. This has all the typical flavour notes of a Weizenbier, but somehow it feels much smoother and cleaner and just overall well-rounded. The alcohol is not astringent at all but rather blends in and counters the sweetness a little bit.

Botella 50 cl. Vivalabirra ( Oviedo ) Se nota bastante el toque de platano, tanto en olor como en sabor, muy buena cerveza en su estilo.
