Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

Bottle: Poured a golden color weizenbock (kinda light of the style) with a huge foamy white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of banana ester with some cloves and fresh fruits. Taste is also dominated by some nice wheat malt note with loads of fruity, banana and cloves ester. The yeast really works wonderfully in this beer. Full body with loads of lees and great carbonation. I wish I had access to quality stuff like that every day.

Pours surprisingly pale for a weizenbock, with a nice head that fades fast, A bit thin in the palate with a loose finish, strong notes of bubblegum throughout. A touch sweet, only a little wheaty, lacking complexity and more importantly body. Decent enough. I’ve enjoyed drinking it but it’s not that good of a beer.

Nice weizenbock. Hazy yellow. Aromas of banana, citrus and cookie dough. Tastes very estery, lots of banana, cloves, sweet and doughie. Alcohol is well hidden. Very good weizenbock like their hefeweizen but with an extra kick and a layer of "deepness". A keeper and a favorite, especialy in the summer.

Poured from the bottle with a cloudy hazy darkish golden with a substantial head. Aroma is not overpowering with some fruits, taste is bananaish with some sweetness and caramel, not as overpowering as some weizbocks. Incredibly and dangerously drinkable.

This is pretty well carbonated as a soft pour still yields a full three-finger thick, frothy, pale tan colored head. The beer is a light gold color and shows a very lightly hazed, straw gold color when held up to the light. The aroma is distinctly full of clove phenolics, even seeming a bit fruity in its clove character. Wheat like grain notes provide a touch of bread aromatics, some light tartness and some cracker-malt notes. Banana esters mix in with the clove notes, but are definitely noticed as well. There are also some plum like notes as well as a touch of apple aromatics.

Well carbonated, yet still creamy like many a good Hefeweizen; this does have a touch more body than your standard Hefe, but so far if I was presented this blind I would be hard pressed to guess that this is something other than a normal Hefeweizen. The strength of this brew shows up in the esters that are noticeable; this is a bit more fruity than your typical strength Hefe with flavors of plum, Macintosh apples and green raisins. This fruitiness is backed by a spicy, phenolic finish reminiscent of the turpenes particular to cloves. As the beer loses some of its zippy carbonation and warms up just a touch it begins to pick up a lightly concentrated banana note in the middle. This has a light tartness to it than helps to accentuate the various fruit components a bit.

The last pour that has some yeast sediment to it, adds a bit more yeasted tartness to this brew, which is a nice added dimension. I really like this take on the Weizenbock; it really is just a slightly amped up version of a well made Hefeweizen with the increased gravity producing more interesting esters and phenolics.

Pours light straw/orange yellow with a large foamy white head. Aroma of bacon, sweet malted wheat, clove, and citrus. Sweet and sour wheat, soft banana, slightly metallic. Fluffy mouthful with soft but sparkling carbonation. A nice drinking light weizen bock.

500ml bottle. Murky gold with some orange highlights, big beige head. Lots of wheat and banana, a touch of citrus. Very wll carbonated. Banana leads the flavor, some light caramel and grass. Damn fine drinker.
