Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Aug 28, 2009 Pours a lasting read of white head with a hazy, deep straw body. Smells of earth and yeast. Flavor is earth, dough, banana. Pretty big body. curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Aug 28, 2009 Cloudy straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is banana, clove, bubblegum and other things of a yeasty nature. Taste is delicious wheat and yeast but not overly spicy. Hints of ripe sweet fruit like peach and pear. Very rich body with juicy malt and a smooth finish. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Aug 28, 2009 Hazy yellow pour withquickly fading offwhite ring of head. Aroma of sweet wheat and a very bready yeast, but not quite belgian, more like day old bread. Tastes of alcohol esters, rose petals, wheat, and a hint of banana, but hardly noticable. A distinct peppery spice on the finish. Not bad, but not my favorite from these guys. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy Aug 21, 2009 Bottled.
Creamy, voluminous and adherent head, optimal duration. Orange clearly color, much hazy and veiled with optimal and fine fizzy aspect. Intense and alcoholic aroma, with notes of orange, banana, stum, liqueur. Much fraught taste and with strong alcoholic impact. Persistent and bitter on the end. NJJereme (261), Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA Aug 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours an opaque gold color w/ a nice frothy white head. Aroma of clove on pour and heavy flavor of clove once imbibed. Medium bodied. Has a bit of a bitter finish. Overall a very nice brew. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Aug 18, 2009 light hazy yellow hue with a layer of tense white head, it has citrus aroma with hint of banana. it is very refreshing and tasty. highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia Aug 17, 2009 The sort of effortless quality that a brewer can toss off after several centuries of practice. A great-looking beer - cloudy lemon colour with a huge wash of foam. The striking aroma of dusty wheatsacks induced a Proustian scent memory of summer childhoods spent on a friend’s farm. Also mashed banana and clove. Lovely creamy body. Very well integrated for a 7.7% abv bock - would never have guessed it was that strong. Sticky banana and wheat malt with an acidic finish. Quenching and moreish. (500ml bottle from Leura Cellars. BB 20/9/09) jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 16, 2009 FCBF 09. What a nice treat at the brew fest to find a weizen bock! Hazy, orange, very nice looking. Banana/clove, big yeast component. Very enjoyable.
