Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

500ml bottle. Pours cloudy blond golden yellow. Bright white colored, foamy head and very nice legs with equally sexy lace. Aroma of freshly picked bananas. Dominate banana aroma. Some mustard seed, a nice clove and a touch of honey sweetness in the nose as well. Very grainy wheat flavor yields a nice bit of sweetness. Lots of fruity yeast esters. Finishes with a lingering spiciness of black pepper. A nice calming alcoholic presence. Creamy texture, very smooth on the palate. Full bodied. Dangerously drinkable. Prost! 2020

50cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange/tan gold with thick but short-lived white head. Aroma starts with intense banana. Subtle honey, wheat, and clove follow. Flavor is wheaty, sweet, and lightly grainy with firm malty, wheaty backbone and typical fruity and spicy esters and phenols. The flavor is surprisingly low in banana ester compared to the nose. Spicy, soft bitterness at midtongue balances big bready wheat and medium malt sweetness. The finish is somewhat dry thanks to heavy carbonation. Subtle alcohol follows the grainy, wheaty, fruity, balanced finish. The mouthfeel is vigorously carbonated yet creamy and swishy with a medium-full body. Overall, a very straight-forward hefeweizen with extra gravity. I’m more familiar with this style being like a *dunkel*weizen with extra gravity, but this interpretation is still tasty and drinkable.

Draught@Julians, Providence, RI. Not a huge fan of weizenbocks at the moment, this is a pale one too. Estery banana, and alcohol notes. Raw alcohol, and some touches of caramel.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, citrus and yeast spiciness. The flavour is banana bread, citrus and spice. Superbly balanced, it’s medium bodied and good carbonation. A refreshing, enjoyable bock.
