3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bananas, overripe green apples, clove, a mild alcohol sting, musty furniture, ripe strawberries, spices, a hint of citrus peel, and other yeast esters in the aroma. Taste is mildly sweet/tart/bitter, without overdoing anything. Terrific mouthfeel, with a rather thick but velvety body and perfect carbonation. It glues everything together perfectly.

Weihenstephaner Vitus has a very thick, spongy, white, crackling head, a hazy (which gets even more so, when the bottom contents are swished & poured in), yellow-gold appearance, with strong bubble streams, and some lacing left behind. The aroma is strong and pungent: banana bread, banana pudding, yeast spice, some coriander, and some white wheat bread. Taste is of banana bread, banana pudding, some spice, sugar, and a touch of alcohol. Mouthfeel is fluffy and medium, and Weihenstephaner Vitus finishes semi-wet, easy drinking, and just a tad hot. Great stuff! RJT

Holding up your glass to the sunlight lets one enjoy the beautiful appearance of this beer. Quite refreshing. Perfect for a hot summer day. Though I didn’t get any gazeous substance to smell when I opened the bottle. Weak smell and weak character. Would make a good beer for drinking with friends but too weak for a tasting experience.

My favourite weizen bock. Soft caramel taste combined with traditional weizenbeer banana taste makes a great combination.

Pours a lovely light straw. The color white if wine only hay and with fat head of white foam that falkls slowly enough. The nose is sutlry fruit. The stuff your grandmother is putting in a pie. Apple skin, baked pear, light banana, clove, honey, spice a bit of cinnamon. Oh my stars. The taste is luscious Ripe and succulent fruit.l The apple skin crisp and light, the pear baked and sweet together with the clove. The honey malt The tall and crisp whet malt. That stands in the glass like a strange sentinel. Golden glowing flaky like flakes in the cereal bowl but sweet and soft too. OH! The banana light ans smooth. The mouthfeel is fruity, cisp, creamy . well carbonated and this finishes dry and with so much fruit you cannot stand to believe it’s not under a pie crust.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance –Served a hazy golden-yellow colored brew with a one finger thick white head. The head fades slowly to leave a great level of lacing.
Smell - The aroma is a mix of wheat and yeast with a light citrus smell, consisting mostly a mix of orange and a lighter lemon smell. With these aromas are notes of coriander and clove as well as some banana smells.
Taste –The taste has many of the flavors that were detected in the nose. It starts out wheaty and bready with a moderate yeasty taste upfront. A sweeter citrus flavor also greets the tongue initially almost entirely orange in nature. The citrus flavor lessens some more toward the middle of the taste while flavors of banana, coriander and clove come to the tongue. These flavors take the taste to its end where an almost candy/bubblegum like sweetness joins the flavor as well as a very light alcohol taste, leaving a nice sweet wheat banana bready flavor to be left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the brew is on the slightly thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side as well. The chewier body is quite nice for the wheaty flavors while the carbonation is very nice for keeping it drinkable and for accentuating the spice and fruit flavors of the brew.
Overall – It is kind of like a souped up hefeweizen or maybe like a hefenweizen-grand cru hybrid. It is great tasting and potent but very drinkable. Rather well done.

Hazy, cloudy rusted wheat yellow body. Rocky white head that pretty much doesn’t recede. The alcohol really comes out early before becoming very grainy with loads of bready notes. Banana throughout. It’s medium bodied and dry.
Excellent taste and aroma, very boozy though.
