Hefty amounts of clove, lemon, banana and wheat in the aroma. Very spicy mouthfeel with yeast and wheat along with a bit of banana and an awesome clove finish that lingers for a solid minute after the beer is gone. I’m slowly falling in love with the "oldest brewery in the world". trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Pours hazy gold with a puffy, rocky white head. Excellent lacing down the glass. Sugary wheat aroma, lots of banana and bread in this one. Fresh-smelling, nice change from the dank basement you sometimes get with the weizenbock. Bubbly mouthfeel, although it does get syrpuy from time to time. The taste was good, but a little too sweet for me. Solid wheat and banana/yeast ester base. Loved the clove and lemon peel components as well.
Only problem I had was it was a little too sweet. Kind of got a cotton candy-sugar taste after a while, to the point I craved an IPA or something sour to wash this beer down with. At first I wanted to mark this beer down for it in the taste category, but everything that came before it was too good Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia

Malt hop flavour with citrus undertones. Fizzy yet smooth palate. kkearn (1016), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2009 16.9oz bottle. Pours golden with a slight amber hue. The off-white head is initially very active and frothy, but gradually fades to a small ring. Aroma of bubblegum, wheat, spice, banana, and slight vanilla. Banana is the initial flavor, which is joined by wheat, spice, caramel, and citrus. Alcohol becomes more evident towards the finish. Finishes sweet and almost syrupy. Thin to medium bodied, with less carbonation than I expected. It’s far from perfect, but still pretty enjoyable. malrubius (1005), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 3, 2007 500ml bottle in weizen glass. Pale yellow-orange with beautiful dense white head that rises above the glass and some lace. Strong banana-clove yeast aroma. Vanilla-honey sweetness with banana and very mild citrus bitterness in finish. Medium body and medium carbo. Absolutely delicious. Certainly one of the best hefe-weizens I’ve ever had. kidmartinek (1003), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Pours bright cloudy pale yellow with copious foam head. Exhibits good bubbling (barbonation) after the pour. Thick tastey head. Excellents scattered lacing. Strong bright, wheat flavor most dominated by refreshing banana. I thught this was going to be a dark because of the bottle, but it’s a light, full bodied, full flavored, delicious wheat brew, most enjoyable after mowing the lawn on this hot spring day. The palate has just the right amount of bite andrefreshment. Bright, flavorful finsih. Uncharacteristicly smooth for 7.7%, I thought it was 5%. Prost! ghawener (998), San Salvador, El Salvador
