A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

First smell I had was smokey, aroma after of light banana. Light in flavor but still slightly full bodied. Soft on the palate, malty, and sweet.

0,5 l, flaske, 7,7 % ABV, BB: 01/11/15, hentet af laboko i Tyskland - tak! 24. maj 2015. Honninggul ufiltreret Hvedebock med flot, høj, hvid og vedholdende skumtop på 6-7 cm (serveret i hvedeglas). Let boblende i glasset. Aroma af banan, og humlearoma af let citrus. Nuancer af hvedemalt i en igennem god aroma. Dejlig frisk og sødlig, men også ganske fyldig smag. Middel sødme og let bitter. Krydret. Mellem fyldig krop, og vel karboneret på et middel niveau ideelt for øltypen. Konsistensen er glat, og mundfølelsen fantastisk dejlig blød. Et flot glas øl, en lækker blød mundfølelse og en rar frisk smag...what's not to like? Topklasse indenfor øltypen!

Keg, Brewdog, Leicester. Hazy yellow gold with a white foam. Aromas are wheat with hints of caramel and banana. Bready yeast with lemon rind and leafy herbs. Flavours are sweet wheat with herbal notes and coriander heat. Banana with oak barrel. Restrained alcohol with a peppery finish. Very good.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow colour. Huge white head. Strong aroma of banana, clove, bread and spices. Flavour banana, bread, clove and alcohol warmth. Nice medium sweet finish with alcohol warmth. Full body and medium carbo. Excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tried several times on tap and, obviously from bottle. Now reviewing from 50cl in Ayingerweiss glass. Pours an abundant, dense creamy and white head; nice deep golden to light orange, cloudy and bubbly. Smells instant spicy, vanilla, yeasty, clove, fruity, super estery, banana, creme bruleè, complex and aromatic. Tastes yeasty, spicy, sweet fruity, lemon pie, wheat and cereal syrupy; medium +plus sweetness, quite low+ citrusy bitterness. Creamy, medium to full bodied, well carbonated; dangerous for its drinkability and the almost 8%. Rich and complex, very probably the best blond wheat/weizen beer in the world (beware of aventinus), highly reccomended

0,5 liter bottle. Golden trouble coloured beer. Defintely tastes a bit like the all known white beer from weihenstephaner, its a bit more spiced and thanks to that an other character.

Jeez, I’m lucky to have had the Ayinger weizenbock a few days ago. This one may just have the edge. Bright, cloudy golden pour is beautiful. Thin white head with some grip. Esters and ripe fruit aromas on the nose are pleasing, but the flavor is outstanding. More banana and a solid wheat malt backbone make this one smooth-sipping beverage. Way too easy to drink.

Out of 0,5l bottle. Tall white head. Incredible nose. Pleasant carbonation. Complex body, definitely above average. W’d highly recommend this one.

It pours classic Weihenstephaner huge billowing head, cloudy yellow. Has a really sweet and sough, dough aroma, and also strong lemon taste. I saw someone describe it as not banana but banana peel and I agree, it’s more citrus rind that straight citrus. I didn’t realize it was 7.7%, 3 standard drinks in a bottle, and it definitely has kick.

16.9 oz bottle, poured into a tulip glass at ~45 degrees F. Appearance: Pours a somewhat cloudy (fingers visible but blurry on the opposite side of the glass) brilliant golden yellow, and forms a massively fluffy white head that barely collapses even when drunk - I don’t know that it ever went below a half-finger in height, with appropriately off-the-chain lacing. Carbonation streams continuously through the beer as tiny bubbles. Smell: Pure ester heaven. Rich notes of banana and clove swell out of the glass, with hints of coriander, peaches, and lush ripe wheat. Taste: Coriander citrus opens the flavor profile, and is swiftly joined by banana and spicy clove. A spot of peach flavor enters as it moves along, and bits of white pepper emerge at close to the same time. Underlying it all is a light biscuit-cracker malt, which comes more to the front at the finish, leaving behind a lingering mixture of wheaten malt, banana, and peach after the swallow. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied yet silky, this is an easy-drinking beer, not unlike the feel of a good hefeweizen. Overall: Less "imperial dunkelweizen" and more "imperial hefeweizen", this is definitely what one would expect from Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Turbo Edition. I’m quite the fan, though ultimately I give the nod to Tap 6 Aventinus for Best Weizenbock Ever.
