3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It poured a hazy yellow/orange and initially leaves a big three inch white foamy head in my weizen glass. The head does eventually die after five minutes. The very hazy yellow/orange body does show some light slowly moving carbonation. The smell has the clove up front with the esters powerfully backing it up. Some lemon comes out as well. As the beer warms, it gets a bit more peppery. The taste is sweet yet peppery at different times. It comes across pretty smooth in the taste. The palate is about a medium and initially sharp cutting my tongue like a knife. Fortunately, as the beer warms, it smoothes out a bit. This is not exactly a sessionable beer, a one and done bomber, though the alcohol isn’t tasted, it gently gets felt after a good hour. There is a slight sticky aftertaste and finish. Overall, this is good for its style and good for me.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. Poured a hazy but strong honey with two fingers worth of a white head. Aromas are floral, cereal, and some spice (still thinking on which). Tastes medium sweetness, lightly bitter, umami. Pleasant and stand-out mouth feel, full body, lively carbonation, long finish. Good beer this!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The wheat Bock from this highly acclaimed and classic Bavarian brewery. Frothy, rocky, irregularly shaped, egg-white head with good lacing, towering over a misty ochre blonde beer with peachy hue and fierce sparkling; remarkably pale for its style, as most Weizenbocks are dark. Pleasant aroma of soft, soapy wheat, overripe banana and banana milkshake, chamomille, bread dough, mango, bubblegum, sour berries, lavender, cloves, apple cake. Taste starts with a mixture of sweet and sourish fruits, lots of banana and bubblegum as in a Hefeweizen, orange accent, red apple, mango, spicy hints (cloves); strong carbonation, as is custom in this style, with a soft, fluffy, mellow mouthfeel; there is clear and ’clean’ basic wheat sourishness as well as a very agreeable bready malt sweetness, while the stereotypical banana and cloves flavours persist; finish is a bit oily, malt sweet, with a big dosis of the fruity yeastiness as well as a clear, but undisturbing presence of warming, slightly liqueurish alcohol. Very good example of its style, in fact one of the best I had so far, ’friendly’, generous and elegant.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16.9oz bottle poured into a hefeweizen glass. The aroma is strong of spicy clove with undertones of banana, lemon, and biscuit, with a lighter note of creamy, vanilla lactose. The lemon notes strengthen later in the drink. It’s a murky, pale shade with a creamy froth, foamy white head that only has a light retention and lace. The taste is a bright, medium high sweet and medium bitter combination. The beer’s texture is creamy and thick, smooth, with a soft fuzz carbonation and a medium full body. Flvaors of lemon, clove, banana, and a hint alcohol hit the palate first, and it finishes crisp with a lemon and orange acidity and a zippy spice. There’s also a mellow, clean alcohol warmth that leaves an astringency and an aftertaste that’s dry and clean, with notes of clove and vodka.

0,5 l, flaske, 7,7 % ABV, BB: 01/11/15, hentet af laboko i Tyskland - tak! 24. maj 2015.
Honninggul ufiltreret Hvedebock med flot, høj, hvid og vedholdende skumtop på 6-7 cm (serveret i hvedeglas). Let boblende i glasset.
Et flot glas øl, en lækker blød mundfølelse og en rar frisk smag...what's not to like? Topklasse indenfor øltypen!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tried several times on tap and, obviously from bottle. Now reviewing from 50cl in Ayingerweiss glass. Pours an abundant, dense creamy and white head; nice deep golden to light orange, cloudy and bubbly. Smells instant spicy, vanilla, yeasty, clove, fruity, super estery, banana, creme bruleè, complex and aromatic. Tastes yeasty, spicy, sweet fruity, lemon pie, wheat and cereal syrupy; medium +plus sweetness, quite low+ citrusy bitterness. Creamy, medium to full bodied, well carbonated; dangerous for its drinkability and the almost 8%. Rich and complex, very probably the best blond wheat/weizen beer in the world (beware of aventinus), highly reccomended
